Excellent Book But Not For the Undisciplined
This is a great guide to flying solo into the fulfilling practice of the Golden Dawn. When I purchased it, I thought I would breeze through this book and the practices as I do with most other training manuals. Not the case. This is a lengthy process that takes years. The Introduction (before the Neophyte chapter) is going to take several months alone and a lot of discipline and will power. The Cisero's pick up and expound upon where Regardie left off with his Golden Dawn book. Having both books is very helpful, but this book fills in a lot of detail to help you find your way when you are far away from a major city (or out in the woods). This is a very big book. It feels like a text book from college after glancing through the chapters ahead. There are quizzes, homework, and yes... lots of memorization. Like I said... not for the undisciplined. I would encourage you to explore this though as after just a few months with this program there have been some major changes in my life, very subtle, but major shifts in thinking, willing, seeing. Stick with it. I promise the same will happen for you.I do wish this book would have more pronunciation guides than it does but Youtube has been a helpful supplement.

Seems well-written, but seemingly contains some errors in places.
Like a lot of magical literature, this one has a few errors. Specifically, some alchemical terms are misapplied or poorly explained. I recommend Julius Evola's The Hermetic Tradition, which was praised by Carl Jung as the most important work on Alchemy in recent time. Evola's exactness is refreshing and will clear up any confusion regarding alchemical symbolism, he is a trustworthy author.I don't know if these are really "errors" or blinds. If it's the latter, then shame on the author. The spiritual situation in the present age is too dire to warrant obscurity. If the former, then shame on the author, he ought to have done his research properly.Otherwise this seems like a solid book, just read it with caution, as one should do with any magical literature.

This is not designed for people who don’t want to commit daily ritual work.
This book is super great.I’ve read the bad reviews. Those people just have no idea that things aren’t instant. You need to commit all the information to memory. If you aren’t wanting to go about that... this path truly is not for you. You have to commit the knowledge lectures to memory. You need to go about things correctly. Go join a temple... you’ll see that nothing is instant and that you will be tested on the knowledge lectures in which are taught in a spoken manner and not typed out for you. This book is a few years of training...not instant success.

Buy, And Study This Book
I really like this book. I have bought it four times over the past ten years. I gave my other copies of the book away to young acolytes who wanted to study Ceremonial Magick. I keep buying the book because it is so good. It is a very in-depth study book. You learn a lot about the Golden Dawn Tradition of Ceremonial Magick. It is filled with lectures, exercises, rituals, and diagrams. I feel this book is a must read for a serious student of Ceremonial Magick.
