Tropik HomeDay and Night Orange Zebra/Vision Window Roller Blind, Choice of 16 Width Sizes, 120cm wide (+4.5cm fittings)

These blinds are fabulous!!I had a lot of quotes from blind companies and couldn’t get the bright orange that I wanted so I thought I would give this a go for £30. As others have said they are a bit fiddly to get ceiling mounted into a recess but that was more because of screwing into the lintel above and recessed are always awkward. The one on the door including the guide wires took me 10 minutes as I used the stickers that came with it. For the guide wires I cut down the plastic holders and screwed them directly to the door, see picture, and the blind is better than the intu or perfect fit I was going to get originally. I have one more ordered to finish my kitchen and the whole thing costs less than £80, rather than the £600 plus I was quoted. The photos don’t do justice to how vibrant the colour is and how lovely they look. Seller was very responsive to queries, so would heartily recommend these blinds.

Once we had worked out how to fix the blind up it looks great in my kitchen. I am very happy with the colour which is true to the picture. There are 2 ways to fix this blind, either on to an opening window hooked over the top or to the window reveal which we wanted to do. The instructions only show how to assemble it to hook over, which we followed unknowingly. We had lots of spare parts which we couldn’t understand where they should go. We eventually worked out that the spare parts were to hang the blind to the reveal. We had to disassemble everything and start again.

The finished look is good - get what you pay for. The colour (orange) is as shown in the listing and creates a warm glow in the room (small cloakroom). The blinds roll up and down smoothly. However the installation was very tricky. The holes in the plastic brackets (used to fit to the ceiling) didn't match up so needed to be redrilled. The description stated that the blinds could be fixed to the ceiling but no instructions were given as to how to do this, either in the diagrams provided or on the video. The video for the screw fixing method was very poor, at some points, as the camera angle was wrong and the installer's hand blocked the view of the product/method.

Bought for downstairs loo, really pleased with it looks great. When pulled to one colour you can’t see anything from outside in. Going to get one for en-suite next in a different colour.

Nice looking blind but the instructions are really really bad and don't include fixing to ceiling, not at all easy to install as a result. Still trying to work it out 4hrs later..
