Works perfect, and was simpler than to buy a whole key
Worked perfectly, really easy to swap the electronic components from the original key, you still need to copy the key part of the key FOB but Home Depot can do thatIn the end, it was a lot simpler to switch the internal parts to the new shell than to buy a whole key, and then have it programmed to my Jeep.Overall really satisfied with the item

Just What I Needed for Broken Key Fob Shell Issue- SAVED ME $$$$!
My Jeep Grand Cherokee's key fob shell broke, causing the key to fall out. I ordered this replacement hoping my original key would fit, but unfortunately, it didn't. Luckily, the purchase included a blank key that I could have cut to match my original. Now my key is fully functional again. This product, even with having the key cut to match, was way cheaper than what the dealership would have charged me for a replacement!

Good fit
I had a remote for a Jeep that had the "soft" rubber keys that were deteriorated.I ordered this product and took the rubber keypad part that is seperate + the back of the FOB and mated those to my old key + electronic board/PCB and put it back together with original screw.I did not use the key blank/metal part since it is kind of force fit into the top of the FOB and I did not need or want to pay for a new key to be cut.All in all for the price, it restored my FOB just fine.

2005 Chrysler 300 Touring keyless fob case with blank key
The replacement key and case combination was exactly what I was looking for my 2005 Chrysler 300 Touring. I bought my car used and it only came with one keyless fob and one gray transponder key, and the keyless fob was held together with a huge ball of tape and the buttons didn't work very well. Searching Amazon was a bit of a chore, there are so many different styles of keyless fob's that it took quite a while finding a match to mine. Finally, after finding one that looked like mine by matching the picture posted and using the search section for my year, make, and model vehicle, I found one and ordered it! I was pleasantly surprised when the package arrived one full day earlier than expected. I was also happy to discover the new fob case and blank key appeared to be identical to my old one, except the size of the screw that held the back cover on was about half the size of my old one. The transponder and battery assembly was easily removed from my old case and dropped right into place in the new one, I did find that a drop of 3 in 1 oil on the threads of the new screw that held the back cover on helped tremendously when screwing it in. I did have a little trouble finding someone to cut the new key blank. At both, Home Depot and Lowe's, the employees working the key cutting machine were either too lazy or too stupid to cut the key after seeing it was attached to the fob case, and both made excuses why they couldn't cut it. So, the next time I went to Walmart, I went to the auto repair counter and there was a fairly short, young lady working, she took both keys over to the cutting machine, looked at them for a second and said, "Sure, I can cut this key, no problem!" Which she proceeded to do and, she did it for free! I took the key to my car, tried it out, and it worked flawlessly!I would've rated the fob case with blank key 5 stars except it was so time consuming to find the correct match to my old one and the shipping and handling charges nearly doubled my cost, and I thought that was kind of high. But, for $15 dollars I still got an awesome deal considering the dealer would only sell me a new key with a new transponder fob, and they wanted $300 and I had to drop the car with them for an entire day! I will be using this company in the future for all of my automotive keys!

What they do and don't do
I bought these because the metal key was supposedly interchangeable. On these when you remove the screw the metal key part pulls out easily and it would be a breeze to change out to the new fob. However, on my 2005 Chrysler key fob the metal part is molded in. I was not willing to ruin a key fob by disassembling/destroying it to see if I could get it to work. I wound up just using the rubber insert to refresh my O.E. key fobs and for me it was worth the cost. Maybe newer than 2005 key fobs do have the feature where you can exchange the metal key, I would suggest checking before buying. Now in fairness you can have the new key cut and change the circuit board for a new key fob, it is well made, and this is why I gave it a 5-star review.

Too small inside
This is not for a Chrysler 300 2005

Item Arrived With Button Issue
Item arrived with a Panic button issue. The rubber shape of the button was messed up. When I installed the circuit board of my original key, I thought I would be able to use it anyways, but the button kept the panic mode on and I couldn't use the key. I returned the item.

Works like it should
This key fob replaces one that I broke. When I put a new key ring on my old fob I neglected to verify that it would move freely in ALL directions. The new ring was too big to lever up and down as well as rotate. It levered up in my pocket and broke the tab, my mistake, not a fob defect. The new fob comes with a smaller key ring and I am using that so I don't break it again.Since my Jeep uses the same key for the door and the ignition it was fairly easy to have the new key blank cut. For the Jeep I had to cut the key and then transfer the old transponder to the new fob. I have heard stories that moving the transponder first and then cutting the key caused issues. Supposedly the vehicle would start and then die after a minute. It may be just a story but I can't discount it.Will the lettering wear off? Probably but so did the original that came with the Jeep. For me, this did the job.
