While the button on this style of spout has always required some force to hold down, alternative spouts are a lot like old men: they leak and have a very slow flow. This spout flows quickly and is water tight. The original, similar looking spout this item replaces had a red rubber shut off seal and white relatively hard installation seals. With time, the rubber seal hardened and leaked. The hard white seals required the addition of silicone rubber sealant when they were originally installed. This replacement unit has clear soft seals throughout (looks like they are silicone rubber). It was not necessary to supplement the installation seals with silicone rubber sealant to avoid leaks with a very finger tight installation. The shut off seal works perfectly, and, if it is silicone rubber, should remain soft and effective for a long time.

Did not fit water can. Stem to big.

I recently replaced the the spigot on my porcelain water jug. Unfortunately, the flow was a maddening and so I ordered this push button spigot. Much better. I will say you need a certain amount of wrist strength to operate this so it won't work for everyone.

Spigot is a direct replacement of the original spigot that had lasted nearly 30 years. Only the color is different. Easy to install, no leaks.

Not 100% on the gaskets and the flow isn’t as steady as I’d like but it’s a good cheap replacement

This spout fits the old style large rectangular Brita dispenser perfectly. I only needed to use 1 of the supplied washers for the correct fit. It was easy to install, took about 2 minutes. The push button is easy to operate and feels sturdy. I'm hoping it'll last a long time.

A nice replacement for the stock Brita one that stared leaking at the valve. Only time will tell if it will hold up. I like the design, easily use but hard to accidentally open.

Even though this looks like the original, it doesn't operate quite like it. Dispensing button is harder to push down and water flow does not have the same amount of volumn. Ease of installation is a plus.
