Stay away from this product, it is a complete ...
Stay away from this product, it is a complete joke. Not even is the fan undersized it is just spinning but not blowing at all. I would call it a "car seat cushion" but it doesn't provide cooling. I tested it in 3 different cars as I thought my 12V DC cigarette lighter is not proper working or doesn't supply sufficient power. Sending my car cushion back and won't purchase anything from Viotek in the future

My undercarriage is cool and comfortable
Comfortable, easy to install, works well and cools down quickly in a hot car. Got this for my BMW 5 series that sits outside in south Florida. Also got the black version for my girlfriend's black 335. The fit is perfect. The seats blend in very well with our car's interior. Controls are easy to use. Fan fits easily under our seats, even with all the BMW gear under there. The fan is quiet and can't be heard over the road noise, even on high.

Using it on my office chair, and it's working great (but requires some changes)
I really dislike the "hot and sticky butt" syndrome during hot summer months. Although we have central air conditioning in our house, my studio is a good 2 degrees or more hotter than the rest of the house, and it wouldn't be fair to turn the thermostat down for my comfort while my wife freezes.I've tried using cooling pads in the past (the kind you put in the freezer to chill), but they don't last very long and you have to constantly swap one out with another one from the freezer and keep that going all day. Also, my wife told me she read an article that said those pads when reaching a certain temperature will start to leak toxic gas. Also, when I'm hot, my back is hot too, so I can't lean against the chair and be comfortable. Since the cooling pads only works on my butt, I have to use a fan to also cool my back. Those were the reasons that prompted me to look into a different solution. When I read the Q&A and reviews, I was disappointed to see that the seat can only be used in cars, but when I analyzed the design, it seemed to me it was possible to reroute the flexible air tubes to go around obstruction, and a DC to AC converter would make it usable with typical household wall power. So I figured I'd take a gamble and give my idea a try, and I am so glad I did, because my idea worked!Basically, if your office chair has a big enough gap between the seat and the back-rest, and the piece that connects the two isn't too wide, you'll be able to make it work. All you have to do is to reroute the middle air tube to one side and connect it to the port on the outside instead of the middle one, and then do the reverse with the air tube on the outside and connect it to the port in the middle. Take a look at the photos I took of how I did it.For the fan, just tie it to the underside of the chair, and it'll stay put. You can fix the controller button unit to the side of the chair for easy access, or as in my case, I have it hanging on a headphone stand on my desk, and the DC to AC converter also sits next to it. I'll have to be careful not to roll my chair too far away from the desk or rotate the chair too far though, or it'll pull the controller off.BTW, this is the DC to AC converter I'm using: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0012BL8LG/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_15Because there's enough of a gap between the seat and the back-rest of my office chair, the air tubes in the back don't stick out and dig into my tail-bone, so make sure your office chair has enough of a gap there.Since leather isn't exactly comfortable to the bare skin during warm weather, I've put a very gauzy large scarf over the chair like a seat cover. It works very well because it's gauzy enough to let air pass through easily, but will provide a fabric barrier so your skin doesn't stick to the leather seat. Some people have mentioned that the fan can get loud, and this is true when you have it on the higher settings, but on the lower settings it's quiet. If I'm extremely hot, I'll let it run on higher settings for a bit to cool off, and once my body temperature has normalized a bit, I turn it down to the lower settings. In everyday use, I find that starting off with level 3 (which is only moderately loud and not unbearable) it's already providing enough cooling power, and once I start to feel a bit chill, I turned it down to just level 1, and keep it there until I actually start to feel cold and just turn the unit off completely.Although I'm not using this product as intended, I'm so happy I was able to make it work. It beats the alternatives I've seen and tried, and I highly recommend it if your office chair will work with my method.

My bad for not checking it out
It didn't work on my car. My bad for not checking it out. The product itself arrived in good condition and seems to be of great quality.

I think the quality is good and the product appears to be functioning properly
I think the quality is good and the product appears to be functioning properly. However, I didn't quite catch the detail about it not working in every vehicle. For starters, my seat does not fold forward, so getting the equipment in place properly was a struggle. Secondly, the back of my seat has material over it, that I could not remove. This forced me to shove the tubing off to one side, rather than straight back through the seat. This was a major pain to even get through the seat, and just as difficult to connect the tubing. This basically ended up cramping my tubing which is inhibiting air flow, and worse, it's forcing the seat to sit ajar or skewed off to whichever side I put the tubing through, making it uncomfortable and annoying to sit on, as I can't sit straight in my chair. At this point, I've taken it out and haven't re-installed it because of the difficulties involved. If I could send it back I would, but only because it didn't work in my van. My suggestion is to take some other firm, skinny product and run it through the crack in your car seat to see if there are any obstructions.

Find another option.
It took me two hours to assemble. Then when it was in the car, the force of air blowing through the seat was almost nonexistent. I returned it.

Comfortable, quiet, and cooling
I have been using this product for a couple weeks now -- including a long cross-country road trip -- and I absolutely love it. It is comfortable to sit on and the cooling feature is very effective. Note -- for those reviews complaining that this cover doesn't blow enough cold air, that is just a misunderstanding about the product. This cover sucks the hot air away from your body; it does not blow cool air out. The fan is quiet and is conveniently placed behind and under the seat, not hanging between your legs like some others I've seen. As to the reviews complaining that something is poking them in the back, that is just incorrect installation, not a a design flaw. It means that the person hasn't pulled the vent hoses completely through the seat crack. You don't feel anything when it is completely pulled through as designed -- though I recognize it is difficult to do, especially if the crack between the seats is very small. Finally, it looks great and matches my factory leather interior. It does reduce the effectiveness of our heated seats feature, however, so I'll probably remove it during the winter. Also, installation isn't the easiest thing since it involves squeezing parts through the narrow crack between the two halves of your seat and hooking straps under the seat itself, but with two people it wasn't that bad.
