Kuzy Anti-Glare Matte Screen Protector Filter for 27 inch Display 27" Model A1407 and A1316

I was very happy with the Kuzy screen protector I purchased for my MBP Retina, great anti-glare, anti-reflective and clarity properties, but this product is not the same. Reflection of the table lamp behind me is just as strong as the glossy screen, type and fine graphics look pixelated and fuzzy. I'm sending this product back to Kuzy and ordering a Photodon Sample Kit to try to find a screen protector that will knock out that table lamp reflection.

I work with my back facing the window and so I was having major glare problems for a long time, where I'd have to move around my desk and computer in order to see certain parts of it (which got really frustrating after only a day of doing this). I purchased this product and have had it installed for a day now, and I love it! It does take a bit of time to put it on your screen (think putting an anti-glare filter on your phone, and then multiply that by how big your screen is) to get the air bubbles out, and granted, I still don't have all the air bubbles out, but this filter works wonders. I am not bothered by the light from the window behind me at all, and my eyes feel so much better. I like this product so much I've recommended it to everyone else in my office

TL;DR: I applied it to the display (not the glass over the display) and it completely eliminated reflections/glare. However, it gives the display a strange look like it's foggy (not blurry). It's a pain in the rear to apply; Do a wet application and be sure to have a lint free cloth on hand (the one provided blows).The glossiness of my Apple Thunderbolt display was driving me nuts. I looked up online on ways to resolve it and ended up removing the glass. However, the display underneath is still glossy. After moving to a new location, I was still getting some reflections on my display which really bothers me. I purchased this screen protector as the solution (the only other option I could find a was a matte glass which is difficult to actually find in stock).I knew it was going to be difficult to apply simply due to the sheer size of the protector. Additionally, because the protector was designed for the display WITH the glass I was forced to trim it, which further complicated installation. To help with installation I planned on a wet installation which involves spraying the screen protector with cleaning spray (I used iKlear). Even with the wet installation it was still impossible to completely get the display completely dust free. If I had a relatively rush free area and a lint free cloth it may have done better. The provided "microfiber" cloths are junk and what I had available was unfortunately not a lint free cloth.That being said even though it looks REALLY terrible when my display is off (see photo), I really can't see all the bubbles and/or lint when the display is on. The photos were taken immediately after install, so it's possible that some of the smaller bubbles will clear up in the next few days. So after all this pain, it does indeed eliminate reflections, however it gives the display a REALLY weird foggy look that I'm not sure I'll get used too.

This is a good screen cover. As other reviewers have mentioned, the installation takes a steady hand and some patience. Once all the air bubbles are worked out, the cover is nearly indistinguishable. My only complaint is that, possibly, the anti-glare properties of the protector may soften the image slightly.

I purchased this item hoping to take the ludicrously-glossy thunderbolt monitor in my office and make it less of a mirror to the things going on behind me.There are several reasons why this product doesn't make it easier to see my screen and sadly none are easily fixed by this manufacturer :(1: The film is almost exactly the same size as the flat front of the monitor. This is the right choice although it makes it nearly impossible to apply the film and not have it hang over the edge of the monitor somewhere. 27 inches is long ways away and by the time you start applying the film and smoothing it down to the other corner, you're probably off a quarter of a degree (at the least) which means the film will be hanging off of an edge. I didn't really care about this since this is not a mobile phone and that edge isn't likely to catch my pocket and peel off.2: You need to be SURGICALLY-VIGILANT about pre-dust removal. ANYTHING your eye can see with a raking light will show up under the film. It took me nearly a full half hour to apply the film the best I could and still (in a closed office with no air flow, compressed air and other tools) I had a few spots where you could see a bit of air and a speck of dust under it.neither of these issues was really the problem though as I had largely expected them.3: This was the deal-breaker, though. The glossy front panel sits quite a bit in front of the actual illuminated surface of the LCD. You can see this by leaning towards your monitor and looking at the bottom edge of the illuminated panel. This means that even if you apply the film perfectly, it will make the image behind if blurry and yet oddly grainy as the light refracts off of the back of it. These films only work if you can really apply them directly to the panel and on the Thunderbolt monitor you can't. The image quality was so bad and so much worse than the effect of the glossy reflections that after 40 minutes of dealing with this film, peeled it off and threw it away. Sadly, this is a problem only Apple can fix but as they are way more concerned with form than function, they probably won't.Either way, don't buy this product. Live with the reflections or sell your thundebolt and buy a screen that somebody put 20 minutues of thought into and that already has a matte screen.
