Product Description BAFTA® and Golden Globe® nominee Jane Horrocks (Absolutely Fabulous, Little Voice) and Mark Addy (Game of Thrones, The Full Monty) and from the producers of The IT Crowd and The Office, comes Trollied, a new and original British comedy. And it's definitely one to check out...Set in Valco, it finds the funny in one of our most familiar surroundings and focuses on the types of characters we all recognise: bored checkout staff, ineffectual managers and a range of customers, from the irate to the downright bizarre.Acting deputy manager Julie (Horrocks) struggles to assert her authority whilst trying desperately hard to make a good impression on store manager Gavin (Jason Watkins, Being Human). Her people skills are significantly lacking for a start, often to the amusement of butchery double-act Andy (Addy) and Kieran (Nick Blood, Material Girl). The butchers enjoy winding each other up and, while Andy's life is all about meat, Kieran is bored of chops, mince and ribs. He wants something better from life. Similarly, on checkouts, Katie (Chanel Cresswell, This Is England) is fed up and dreams of going travelling. Meanwhile, new starter Margaret (Rita May, Coronation Street), a recruit of Valco's older person employment scheme and a constant source of irritation to Julie, soon finds she isn't suited to a career on the tills. Deferring to the delicatessen, a whole new world of olives and couscous opens up for her...Trollied is directed by Paul Walker (Shameless), scripted by a team of writers led by Julie Rutterford (Shameless) and executive produced by BAFTA® Award winner Ash Atalla (The IT Crowd, The Office). This 2 disc set contains all 8 episodes of the series and a trolley load of extras including:Why I Hate Shopping The cast and crew say what they hate about shopping!Video Diaries by Nick Blood and Joel FryBehind the scenes creating and designing the Valco worldOut-takes which will have you rolling in the aislesAnd more .... "Trollied" Is a Best Buy Series!
"Trollied"--Series 1 was aired on our American PBS channel and I really liked it, so much that I ordered Series 1 from Amazon UK. I look forward to future episodes. The characters are out-of-this-world crazy (in the funny sense) and the wackiness of them and of their relationships toward each other made me hoot with laughter. I so look forward to future episodes.

Off your Trollied not to like it.
It's both a good and bad thing that Sky are investing in new British comedies over the last few years. Good because it's produced some talented Britcoms - Trollied included - but bad as the audience is restricted to those with the means to possess dishes and monthly subscription packages. Trollied is a good comedy, well acted and observed. The comedic pace can lapse sometimes, and the levels of surprising crudeness in an otherwise gentle comedy of observed manners can really jolt sometimes. But worth checking out at the check out nevertheless.

BOGOF
Had to buy this as I have worked in a supermarket for over ten years now, and yes, we have had a pigeon in our store, I grabbed a laundry basket off the shelf and tried to catch it! And there is such a thing as a free lunch some of our customers prove that, judging by the empty packets from sandwiches/empty paperbags from the deli where someone has wandered round enjoying some cooked meat for free, empty paper bags from oven fresh that have been discarded after enjoying a free pie! empty bottles of juice that we find all the time. We never see the thieves but we always say "We hope you choke on it"

Pretty shoddy and tacky
The actual show was pretty shoddy and tacky and we barely made it to the end of the DVD, in fact we didn't because episode 8 simply wouldn't play. Under normal circumstances, when watching a series, this would have been a major disappointment, however, in this case it could have been seen as a relief!

If you're interimming, you'll love this...!
I know people are a bit marmite with this TV comedy; either loving it or hating it. I hate marmite but I love Trollied. It's a refreshing change from all the usual comedies out there on the box. Filmed in a mockumentary type way, you'll soon get to know the characters and their traits. I'd say there are some you love and some you don't really like but I can't really think of one I dislike... they all have their quirks and all contribute to this great comedy. And keep a listen out for the lads on the meat counter having a go at Julie. She's the deputy manager and the only one interimming! Absolutely fantastic writing. Give it a go if you haven't seen it. Series 2 is a howler too!
