Clear instructions
If you are a gardener looking for something new and interesting to try, consider grafting. Grafting is an exciting technique for anyone cursed with fungus and diseases in their tomato plot. Modern hybrid tomatoes resist diseases beautifully, but they offer very little in the way of taste. (I've grown 2 varieties that are markedly inferior to store-bought.) The solution is to graft a good-tasting tomato top onto a "bullet-proof" rootstock. The same techniques can be extended to melons and a few other crops.I haven't, actually, tried grafting yet, but the instructions in this book appear to be clear and useful.

A major disappointment.
I've been researching tomato grafting for the last couple of months in preparation for a grafting project this winter/spring. I have been able to gather much useful information on the internet, all for free. I was hoping that this would add to my knowledge, but was disappointed to find that it was less informative than many free articles or YouTube videos. I may have gathered one or two tidbits, but doubt that they will impact the success or failure of my tomato grafting. None of them were worth $6. The print is large, as are the pictures, so you won't be getting much for your money. If you are interested in learning about tomato grafting, do a quick search and read or watch the information that comes from any of the universities or from Johnny's Seeds, which offers some excellent information. Read the articles and print out the best of them. Take notes from videos, especially those by Cary Rivard of Kansas State. Take the printed articles, along with your notes, and put them in a notebook, and you will have a much better resource than this 30-page book.If you don't care to do simple research, you may find this book useful. But honestly, if you are not up to simple research, you probably aren't up for tomato grafting.

A great, no nonsense "How to".
If you want to get started grafting tomatoes right away, this is the book for you.The authors take you step by step through the process and do so without distracting you with unrelated digressions. The photos and diagrams are direct and to the point and they let you know "the why" without confusing "the how".They obviously know their stuff!
