Replacement Part For 2005 Mazda 6
I liked that it was the perfect fit for the replacement of my vehicle door lock mechanism. A mobile parts specialist shop installed it for me and it works great. Hope it lasts at least as long as my car can keep running. Great product and I received it very quickly and it good condition. Very happy with my purchase.

It is helping everyone proceed !!
This was wonderful ! Found it , ordered it, and it arrived 2 days later, correct and new, installed in my car and my problem resolved ! I was so stressed over this repair, local stores were asking 4x the cost of same part !! Very happy with Amazon purchases from all our U.S. small business , everyone wins here !

May get intermitten failure but need wear in on the cables
I read couple of folks had intermittent failure to unlock, that happen to my purchase. I play with it and it would have the same problem. I end up keep using it and over time I figure out the cable that tie to the unlock /lock switch need to be worn in. It appears with mine the cable cover did not have enough lubrication for the cable to full unlock, it was not freely to move inside the cable cover, so it did not unlock all the way at the beginning. Now few weeks of using it, the lock work smoothly. The work around when it did not unlock is to roll down the window insert the key and unlock the lock. do that as needed after few weeks of use, it should move smoothly. I end up return a second part I ordered not realizing what causing the problem at the beginning.

You get what you pay for sometimes
Seemed great... way cheaper than buying from other places.. worked great for about 6months and then stopped working door would not open from inside but was able to open from the outside once... thought I would just roll down the window and open from the outside until I got a chance to take it apart and look at it... but like I said, opened once from the outside... then I had to crawl in and out of the window until I had a chance to take the door apart with it closed and then destroy this item enough to get the door open and replace it.... guess you get what you pay for... cheap not inexpensive but CHEAP... there is a marked difference

Works on most Mazda's in years listed on listing
I needed to replace my driver's side front door actuator on my 2005 Mazda Rx8, I saw one of the questions listed above asking about the Rx8 and if this part would fit. The answer stated yes, but was followed with a caveat of the prior customer only used the black/actuator part and not the whole assembly. I can attest to that caveat as although the locking mechanism matches the bolt hole pattern and the opening for the latch, the two solid metal pieces that connect to the door handle on the out side and the two rubber insulated cables that connect to the locking mechanism on the inside of the door do not match, and as such any person who plans for this part to be a plug-in-play will be quickly disappointed. I too, replaced the actuator and reused the metal/OEM locking mechanisms with a little bit of frustration and time, but in time, found it to be a suitable repair.Hope this helps any prospective Rx8er who's facing the same delima...
