Helix Oxford Premium Ballpoint Pen (Blue Ink) with Plastic Free Packaging

Absolutely brilliant pen. It's mostly metal so it's a good weight. There's no plastic packaging at all, some advertise no plastic in the item then it's wrapped several times in plastic bags. Not this, absolutely no plastic packaging. The only plastic I can see on the pen is just the bit that's under the nib and obviously the refill, everything else is metal. I use a syringe and refill the cartridge from an ink bottle, which makes it an even more environmentally friendly option. It's also British made so I'm happy that my purchase will help support our British companies. It has a good flow of ink from what I would consider a fine to medium tip and writes smoothly. The ink cartridge that comes with the pen is a small one with blue ink. There's enough room in the pen to contain a spare cartridge. I chose the rose gold pen which is matt and not as rose as some rose gold items are but it's still a lovely pen. It would make a good gift for the eco conscious, especially if you included a bottle of ink and an ink syringe.

Lovely pen writes well and a nice weight in your hand. Nice range of colours. Price is good too.

I use mine mostly for sketching with Zebra Carbon waterproof ink.It makes a nice, smooth, consistent line. Even loaded with waterproof ink it started immediately after being left capped for over a month.It feels nice and balanced in my hand (I use it without the cap posted) and is enjoyable to sketch and write with.It's a real bargain and an easy recommendation.

Somehow, this pen has lasted me over 4 years. I bought a converter to allow me to refill with ink, and it fit into the pen perfectly. The clip on the lid did break off, but I also had a terrible habit of fiddling with it. Value for money is excellent. Thickness of writing can be a bit variable and I do get ink splodges often, however, I would not know if that is normal or related to user error since this is the only fountain pen I have ever used. I bought this as a low-waste alternative to plastic single use pens and have not not looked back.

It writes fine but comes disassembled , so you have to assemble it yourself. The ink flow is average too.

They are the perfect weight and size, not to mention room so smooth to write with too! I work in an office and needed a good pen to right with and this is the one. I would recommend them to anyone. Great value and quality for the right price.
