these are very good low profile. i needed these to get under a carport. the way i mounted them in the bed of my truck they are just above the cab by 2 inches and i still get good receive and transmit. i can shoot skip with them with a peaked and tuned radio no amp

Superflex? Could a product possibly be more deceptively named?
Superflex? Uhhh no. Not even Sortaflex. This thing is stiff as a board! A three foot 2x4 has more flex. As soon as I received it, I realized I'd been duped out of a Firestick purchase and lured in by the fancy word "Superflex". The clever marketing trick worked. I bought it, trying to save a buck. Instead of listening to my sensible side, I decided to keep it and I mounted it atop my Jeep Cherokee. Looks nice and gave my Jeep a more legitimate off-road "I have a cool CB radio" redneck look. But alas, it snapped clean off at the base the first low branch it needed to flex under. And I'm talking a slight bend, not like a 90 degree tweak! The hard plastic casing around the coil shattered in 1000 pieces and the copper winding partly unraveled. The radio reception/broadcast was ok, no complaints there. But to market this antenna as a "Superflex"?? Come on guys, seriously? Thats not an exaggeration, thats just flat-out LYING. It would be a decent antenna if it wasn't marketed as something is it absolutely not.

Impressed
This was my 2nd K40 whip. The 1st 1 broke in the car wash. My fault, I should have taken it off. I used to have a K30 magnet mount and loved it. The cable began to fray from removing it from the roof to go through car washes, garages and having to move it when hauling our truck camper. I made the decision to purchase a fender mount and install it on my F250 Super Duty. I have fantastic reception and it is out of the way. Just remember to unscrew the whip from the base before going into a car wash with spinning brushes.

Great short antenna
Best 2 foot whip I could find. Decent range, with it mounted on the hood I was able to clearly hear someone about a mile away through buildings and trees. Feels about as solid as any other fiberglass antenna. Silver tip adds a nice touch.

Just what I needed for my daycab rig
Better than I hoped for performance paired w/ Galaxy DX-929 CB. Even shot a little skip with a barefoot peaked & tuned CB

Very narrow bandwidth.. Too narrow!
I ordered this antenna because I needed a smaller than average CB antenna and K40 was always my go-to for mobile antennas in the past. It looks nice enough although I feel like there should be a cap on the end to keep moisture out of the tuning element hole. A dab and silicone will fix that if I decide to continue running it. The issue is the extraordinarily and unnecessarily tight bandwidth. Centering at channel 20, I could get it down to 1.2:1 by tuning the tip (just the tip đ) but channels 1 and 40 were at the edge of acceptable 1.95:1 which is crazy tight. I threaded it off, put another 2ft from brand F and had a usable bandwidth under 2:1 from 26.400 to 27.500. Put this antenna back on and it's less than half. That's an issue for those using it at band edges or freebanding. All this testing was done using a nano vna and confirmed by the onboard cb swr meter. Both agreed with each other. I really want to like this antenna but I'm starting to have doubts. I'll definitely update this review with time.

not like a fire stik ... the adjustable piece keeps becoming loose and eventually fell out ... use as decoration now... go with a firestik
