Q: is there enough of a lip so i can use an exhaust clamp to clamp this on?

Mine did not have any lip for a clamp. Weld on is a must.

Q: Would this fit on a 2001 V6 Ford Mustang?

You need to know the size of your tailpipe. Take a ruler and measure the outside diameter of the pipe. If it's 2 1/4 inches the Borla will fit. It's that simple. Now go do it.
