Handle more weight confortably
You know when you want to use more weight for certain exercise but you just can because your hands are tired and they just open up, but the target muscle is just laughing in your face cus you haven't stressed it yet? Well this is the solution right here. These hooks are very confortable, strong and very sturdy thanks to its desing (they run all the way without any gaps or space in the middle of the hook). However, it does take a while to get use to them because your hand wraps around the hook instead of the weight, so you loose that sensation of control, but once you adjust yourself to them, your back muscles and traps are in for the stress of their life. This product is worth every peny.

Hand size dependent
I have been lifting for a long time and do a lot of bodybuilding. I tend to injure my forearm often during my bulking phases. This is very problematic because the forearm is a critical point for 90 percent of upper body lifts. I tried using these in order to side-step the forearm problem and still be able to bulk super heavy. The hooks are incredibly sturdy and well made. MAJOR ISSUE-> for the size of my hand (average) the hook was too low and strained my forearm. If you have bigger hands I would suggest this and it would be an incredible tool but for anyone with small to average hands don't even spend your money.... Just use the old-school wraps..

Excellent product.
I had increased the number of deadlift sets I was doing, and almost immediately strained all my fingers. I got these hooks a few weeks ago, and have been able to maintain my new workout level while also recovering from that injury. The hooks are of quality construction, are easy to put on and to use, have plenty of comfortable padding, and have a great feature that is not mentioned in any of the descriptions I have read: the hooks easily swing away so that I can do some other work between deadlift sets without having to remove the hooks. Great product!

Great product
Some other highy regarded hooks have suffered in recient ratings, due to a change in quality, hence we looked elsewhere. My 44 year old wife can safely lift WAY more weight than she can grip for any length of time and hooks seemed the obvious way to help. These fit her small hands as well as my large ones. She is mightily impressed that they are comfortable, don't cut into her wrists, and allow her to add more weight. Our trainer (a VERY fit 26 year old male) found them to be the best he'd tried and wants a pair himself. We will buy more of these!

Perfect for any situation where your hands are required to ...
Very strong. Perfect for any situation where your hands are required to handle heavy weights. One small draw back with the rigid hook vs a soft strap is that the rigid hook is not forgiving when you are using both hands on a straight bar. It can kinda tweak your wrists.

I don't use lifting gear often.... but when I do, I use Schiek Hooks!
I have been lifting for over 10 years now. Traditionally I have trained completely raw and chalk has been my best friend. In fact, I used to make fun of people who use gloves and wraps, 'Does your purse match your gloves?'. Anywho, one of my buddies brought these to the gym. After making fun of him for supplementing his weak grip with hooks he convinced me to try them out. I will never go back to doing raw dumbbell rows again! If you have been lifting as long as I have, you undoubtedly have callouses on your hands just like me. Dumbbell rows are perhaps the single most brutal method to aggravate callouses (for some reason deadlift doesn't bother them). No matter how firmly I grip the dumbbell, rows always painfully pull at them; especially with the 150s!. These hooks alleviate this issue for me and actually bring the joy back to rowing. From this day forward there will not be a back day where I won't have these guys by my side. That being said don't over use them. I exclusively employ them for dumbbell row ONLY. There is no supplement for a good grip and using them throughout your suite of back exercises will only make you weaker. Also a tip: I like using the hooks offset such that the hook portion starts at my pinky and covers just below the index finger. This enables you to wrap your index finger and thumb around the dumbbell and gives you greater control through the movement.Well constructed and durable, these hooks will be part of my lifting arsenal for a long time to come.
