I purchased a set of 4 lined Steno A5 top-bound (spiral) notebooks for use with fountain pens.The thick, smooth paper is great for use with even the wettest music nib with highly saturated inks. I experienced ZERO bleed or show through to the back whatsoever, making the reverse just as usable as the front even when filled completely with writing. This is one of the very few reasonably-priced, top-bound, steno-type pads still available with paper suitable for heavy fountain pen use. Very happy to find them as I use them for work notes daily. Like most other reviewers, I agree that they need a more rigid back cover, but the quality and smoothness of the paper outweighs this complaint hands-down.

This was a great purchase. The paper is really thin but markers do not bleed easily. This paper is great for marker work. There's not that much tooth and doesn't soak up the ink. I'm very surprised with the quality, very good for the price. Mine did come a little bent and folded but that could be the person dropping it off threw it or my dad accidentally bent them. Overall really good.

These little notebooks are great! They're one of the most affordable options I saw anywhere and the quality is great for what you pay. The covers are similar to cardstock in thickness; the paper is cream colored, a bit thicker than standard text weight, with a surprisingly nice, smooth texture.They are packaged together in a sturdy ziploc-type bag and individually wrapped in plastic.I am going to be distributing these to a group of people for an outdoor drawing lesson this weekend and I was happy to see they're also very nicely packaged -- each guest is going to feel like they're really getting a nice new sketchbook!

I’m happy with pretty much everything. The size, feel, and weight. My only complaint is the paper thickness. The paper is a little thin, and I can see my writing through the other side of the page.

I use these 6"x9" pads primarily for sketching/drafting. And scribbling. It's gotten difficult lately to find this size 6x9", plain white, lineless, paper. The paper holds lead/paint well. The covers are stiff cardboard for extra support. They are wire-bound at the TOP, which all of us left-handers greatly appreciate! And I think it's a good idea to buy a 4-pack to save a bit of $. I highly recommend them.

This is a great deal for the price! Great for colored pencils and alcohol based markers and light paint marker use. Keep in mind the paper is VERY thin but it doesn't bleed a lot

No matter what line of work you're in you need this notebook. High quality wire for the spiral binding and beautiful graph-lined pages provide you with an excellent writing platform. I use pencil only and this is the best notebook I have used for field sketches. It's the right size, too. Very happy with this purchase and I highly recommend this product. Bought these to use as trip journals. I love that they are lightweight and yet still have moderately firm covers. The paper is of a nice quality and the line spacing was perfect - not too skinny or too wide. I also like the size - 5.5 x 8.25. Lastly, I love that you can write on the covers - perfect for handlettering the names of the places you've been.
