Product Care Instructions | 3. To dry the Newton Crib Mattress: Shake rigorously to release any trapped water droplets inside the core. Lay it on its side to dry. This will take approximately 2-6 hours, depending on how much air circulation is in the room. If you want to speed up the process, place the core in a well-ventilated area and/or in front of a fan. Never use a hand dryer on it., What to avoid: DO NOT USE HOT WATER - when washing, use only cold or cool temperature water. Washing with hot water will cause the cover to shrink, and not fit properly on your mattress. DO NOT USE HEAT TO DRY - Please be sure when speeding up the drying process, to only use cool air solutions. DO NOT USE A BLOW DRYER OR HEATING ELEMENT TO DRY AS HEAT MAY CAUSE THE COVER TO SHRINK AND CAN DAMAGE THE NEWTON CRIB MATTRESS., 1. Washing the cover: Unzip the cover and remove it from the mattress. Leave the 2 sides unzipped for best results in washing and drying. We recommend washing the cover with no other articles in the washer or dryer to avoid snagging or damaging the fabric. Dry on low heat until completely dry. DO NOT hang dry. Should your cover need refreshing, add an additional 1/2 cup of baking soda in the wash. After washing, the cover should go back on the core easily., 2. Once the cover is removed, the Wovenaire core can also be washed. Here’s how: Place the Wovenaire in the shower or tub.Spot clean the soiled area (or the whole mattress!) with cold or cool water. Just make sure to use a mild detergent or vinegar and to avoid hot water. |

Mother of three approved :)
Oh my gosh. The difference between the Newton mattress and one you go buy at a store like Walmart is like 100 to 1. No wonder my baby wasn’t sleeping good she would toss and turn and cry. I felt the difference between the two mattresses and I cannot believe I ever bought that mattress from Walmart. This is a hundred percent worth the money because who can put a price on safety and comfort. Like this mattress is not only amazingly comfy but it’s a hundred percent breathable which is the main goal. My little one started turning over so we had to remove her baby sleeper pad and she was so uncomfortable crying all night long. This mattress fixed everything she’s comfy safe and well rested now. I mother of three 100 percent recommend this and wish I had had it for my other two littles. :) and to address the reviews saying it stinks or it’s hard to clean…. I’m not sure if you got a bad one or what but mine does not stink I washed everything and it’s all good. I one hundred percent would buy this again. My baby has been sleeping (safely) through the night since day one. She’s A belly sleeper and I was so worried about her not being able to breath through that cheap plastic bed I bought at the store but I put my mouth the the newton and I could breath so easy. Thank you all for making this bed! I sleep with ease now :)

There's no dollar sign for peace of mind
My third little one is almost 5 months old and has been sleeping in her bassinet in our downstairs master. She's been rolling from back to belly since 12 weeks, but she still won't roll from her belly to her back. The risk of SIDS worries me to insanity. I woke up in the middle of the night a few nights ago to find her sleeping on her belly against the sides of her bassinet, and it's safe to say I haven't slept since. It seems that since she rolled over that night, side sleeping and belly sleeping are the positions she goes to right away. I don't recall my two older girls ever doing that, so I used a cheapy "normal" crib mattress and had the same ready for this babe.I could not shake the ideas of 1. letting her continue sleeping in her bassinet, even though it has breathable mesh sides or 2. putting her upstairs in her own room with the vinyl (yes, vinyl) mattress I'd gotten for her second-hand. Like I mentioned, my first two girls never seemed to like sleeping on their bellies and they had regular cotton mattresses, so I never thought anything of it when I got the cheap mattress this go-round.I decided to bite the bullet and get this mattress purely for the peace of mind it would give me. I was dumbfounded at how truly breathable it is. The first thing I did was put my face into it and take a nice deep breath - there was virtually no obstruction. The relief I felt was insane. I put the crib sheet on the mattress and actually think I'll leave it off, especially considering the Newton mattress is completely washable. I was surprised at how much of a difference it made with airflow after I put the sheet on, so I will likely just end up getting an extra cover.

I was a skeptic, but worth every Penny
Had a friend recommended this mattress and I had balked at the price, but after calculating the lifetime of the mattress, decided to give it a try. After it arrived, you bet I unwrapped it and smashed my face into it to see if it was breathable. It is. Even with the special sheets, it’s breathable. My baby loves this mattress and it’s stays cool which helps him sleep better. I kinda wish there was a Queen sized one for me! Lol. It’s very comfy.I wish there was a pack and play mattress. But yes, great mattress and worth every Penny.

Go for the waterproof!
We've been using this mattress for about 3ish months now and we love it! Waterproof is definitely the way to go with how much spit up and drool comes with having a baby! Also can attest to the safety and breathability of this mattress as despite our best efforts, out baby has recently become a side/belly sleeper. This mattress paired with the owlet sock is a must for any belly sleepers!

So easy to wash
This mattress is amazing! So happy we were able to purchase, it is pricey but I think it is worth it for peace of mind, I decided to purchase because it is breathable, and because it is the easiest mattress to clean that I have come across. We have already cleaned the cover several times and it is so easy, just throw in the machine as normal! That is such a relief, we all know we need things that are easy to wash as parents! My baby has been sleeping on this mattress since 3 weeks old, I think he preferred it to the bassinet because he sleeps so well on it! Would recommend to everyone.

Baby is now sleeping 12 hours/night! <3
Mom and dad love it because it's so safe. We had a safety incident with another, cheaper mattress + the magic merlin (PSA: take your baby out of the Merlin the *instant* they can roll back to front). Some moms recommended Newton for its breathability. SO happy we bought it. We have such peace of mind.Baby loves it because it's comfy and cozy. As soon as we introduced it (along with fleece crib sheet + fleece sleep sack), he began sleeping 12 hours per night!Expensive but SO worth it for peace of mind and sleep (and he'll be in it through his toddler bed days)!
