Great product!
I use this as a snorkeling guide to point out fish and sea creatures in the ocean. It hasn't rusted one bit, its durable moving through the water too, hasn't bent or buckled at all and it still collapses smoothly. If it works great in the ocean classroom it will work even greater in land applications. It's even been bitten by eels and pulled on by Octopus and it's still working perfect.

Nice and sturdy
We bought this for an off-label use. Our apartment has 12' ceilings, and our smoke detectors like to go off while we cook literally anything. Because they're so high, we can't just reach up and hit the mute/test button. I bought this with the hopes that the pointer was sturdy enough to press the button when fully extended, without compressing back into itself. Well, for that use, this is perfect. I assume it would be perfect for just about any similar use ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I got this to point at my co-worker's things. It does a great job of pointing at those things. I recommend this product if you would like to point at things without using your finger. Maybe they're far away things - further than your finger can reach. This will help with that. The wrist strap and retractable capability are nice bonuses.Also: the black tip can be replaced with (an included) white tip, in case the things you would like to point at are black and you need more contrast.Update: I have lost my pointer. I am distraught. I need to order another so that I can continue to point at my co-workers' things. I suspect foul play.
