Compact, Powerful, & Versatile Docking Station!
This USB-C hub is a must-have for expanding connectivity! It effortlessly connects my MacBook or Asus Laptop to an HDMI display in crisp 1080p while offering 3 USB 3.0 ports for peripherals, a Gigabit Ethernet port for fast wired internet, and SD/microSD slots (though not simultaneous). The slim, travel-friendly design is perfect for work or travel.I found that the USB-C port is for docking station power only (doesn’t charge laptops). SuperSpeed transfers (5Gbps) and multi-device support make it a powerhouse. Works flawlessly with Mac, Windows, and ChromeOS. Highly recommend!

Works well!
I have an older laptop without a USB C port. This works well and allows me to dock my laptop and use a bigger screen, keyboard and mouse. I really like it and no problems setting it up. I did download the drivers for it before using it.

Works Great
It works as intended—I needed it to connect my MacBook to dual monitors for work. Setup was a bit tricky at first since I didn’t have the right HDMI cables; it requires a mini HDMI, and I originally had the standard size. Once I got the correct cable and everything plugged in, the screens displayed perfectly using the DisplayLink software. The only downside is that there’s no audio output through the monitors, so Zoom calls and Slack notifications are silent even with my bluetooth headset on. I tried troubleshooting but couldn’t find a fix, so that’s something to be aware of.

Everyday Home Office
I’ve been using the GIQ USB-C Hub Docking Station for 6 months now, and overall, I’m very pleased with its performance, especially considering the price point.Pros:✅ Triple Display Support: I connected two HDMI monitors and a VGA projector simultaneously, and it handled all three outputs without issue. Great for multitasking or presentations.✅ Plug and Play: No driver installation needed—just plug it into the USB-C port and you’re ready to go. Worked immediately with my Windows laptop and also functioned decently on a MacBook (though triple display support is limited on macOS, which is a system-level limitation).✅ Variety of Ports: It includes USB 3.0 ports, SD card reader, VGA, dual HDMI, USB-C charging, and even an Ethernet port. It basically turned my laptop into a desktop setup.✅ Build Quality: Sleek aluminum housing gives it a premium feel and keeps it cool under load. Lightweight and compact—easy to throw into a bag.Cons:⚠️ Display Limitations: While it supports triple displays, not all combinations work flawlessly at 1080p/60Hz. Expect some compromises on resolution or refresh rate depending on your setup.⚠️ Power Delivery (PD): The USB-C PD charging passthrough works, but it’s not as fast as plugging directly into the wall. It’s fine for maintaining battery, but don’t expect rapid charging during heavy use.⚠️ USB Port Placement: The USB ports are a bit tight together, so wider USB sticks or dongles may block adjacent ports.⸻Final Verdict:If you need an affordable, versatile hub for a multi-display setup and expanding your laptop’s connectivity, the GIQ USB-C Docking Station is a smart buy. It’s not perfect, especially for power users or gamers, but it covers 90% of what most people need in a compact, travel-friendly form.

Just what I needed
I made the mistake of ordering and expensive HP docking station twice and they didn't work on my HP laptop. In a last ditch effort I purchase this so I could have 2 monitors connected to my laptop for work. I couldn't even get support from HP to help...Like magic this USB docking station worked perfect. It was easy to set up and didn't require an extra outlet on my power strip. Save some money, a headache and order this if you want to easily connect your monitors.

Works Great Even On Older Laptops
I have a relatively new Acer Aspire5 and a four year old HP x360 laptop. I originally bought a different mini-dock that said no additional drivers were needed, and it would not work on either of my machines. This unit works perfectly on both, with all features available from either USB3-A or C ports. I am currently running it with two additional HDMI monitors at 1920x1080 resolution without an external power supply, and the dock's USB3 ports are also working fine at true SuperSpeed. The installation of the necessary DisplayLink driver was painless, and no application needs to be started on the laptop before you connect the mini-dock. Connecting and disconnecting the laptop works as simply as it did beforeThe documentation supplied is very limited and typical poor Chinese translation, but you can get a lot more information by just taking the time to wade through the many pages of questions/answers on this site. Here are a couple of things I gleaned from there that are not at all clear in the documentation:1. The dock has a USB-C port, but it cannot be used for anything at all except power IN to the dock from an external power source, and that power in is not passed back out to your computer. It is ONLY used to power the dock if you need to attach too many hard drives or other power-hungry devices. You will still need to attach your normal laptop power supply to keep your computer charged. This is a slight negative since it is both confusing, AND you loose all access to a USB-C port if you need to run this mini-dock from a laptop that has only a single USB-C output. The good news is that the mini-docks works perfectly from a USB3-A port, so you can leave your laptop's single USB-C port available for other devices.2. If you are connecting multiple monitors, the output resolution to all of them will be limited to 1920x1080, and you might also need that external power supply I mentioned above.
