TP-Link Tapo Smart Temperature and Humidity Sensor T310, White, Requires Tapo Hub, High-Accuracy Swiss-Made Sensor, Real-Time Notifications, Free Data Storage, Long-Lasting Performance

I've tested a number of temperature / humidity sensors, they all had failed miserably. The TP-link Tapo sensor is awesome, extremely easy to set up (you do need a Tapo hub). I connected it with Alexa and set up a routine to control ventilation fans to the built in refrigerator. It works seamlessly and controls temperature great. I read some negative reviews regarding accuracy, so I tested it against the temperature control inside the refrig, it varied by only .1 degree F. Over the past 7 years I've converted the house to total automation (garage door control via vehicle and phone, smart irrigation of lawn and plants, motion sensing light control, smart HVAC systems, smart outlets, smart light bulbs, smart switches), trying a multitude of brands and throwing away a number of devices that just didn't have the quality or features required. I have refined my system down to Tp-Link / Tapo / Kasa, Tailwind and B-hyve for my home automation.

The TP-Link Tapo Smart Temperature and Humidity monitor is easy to setup with the Tapo app (free download) and hub (sold separately). The unit has a very large e-Ink display that is clear to see at various angles. Note though that it needs ambient light, since there is no internal backlight for night visibility. Besides the Temp/Humidity there is also a small battery indicator useful for preventing unexpected outages. In the Tapo app the sensor shows not only the current values but also a plot of Temp/Humidity vs. time for checking how the room climate is changing with time. Additionally, a comfort zone (min/max T and R.H. values) can be defined in the app, so that the app sends push notifications when the room climate is out of the comfort zone.As part of the Tapo smart system, the Temp/Humidity monitor can be used to set up smart actions with other Tapo devices, such as switching a Tapo switch on/off to control a fan or small space heater based on room temperature variations. Overall the TP-Link Tapo Smart Temp/Humidity monitor is an excellent addition to smart home automation projects.

Thoroughly impressed by these sensors. The unit is small in size, but the relatively large E-ink display is vivid and easy to read from distance. The accuracy and consistency across the 3 devices I purchased is impressive. I set them up next to each other for the last couple of days and they are all displaying within +/- 0.1°F and 1% relative humidity of each other and many times all exactly the same readout. The hub is on a different floor and there's no issues with connectivity. Compatible with Home Assistant through the required hub which can be linked through the Tapo server or locally with Matter (beta as of this review). Tapo app is easy to use if you want to use their ecosystem.Overall I feel it's a great value versus some of the competitors!

Works good. It shows temp and humidity on screen so you don't need to look it up on the phone. Battery life is so so. Connects easily and works fine, but I need to figure out what's going on with battery life.

Tapo Hub required. Not a big deal, though, because the hub is cheap. These temp and humidity monitors are not cheap - but the high quality (including the excellent screen) and app-connectivity make it worth it. I find these more consistent and accurate than most cheaper temp and humidity sensors, too. We have four in total. The ability to look at trends in temp and humidity throughout a 24 hour cycle in several places in your home helps a lot with heating, A/C and humidification strategy. No regrets on this purchase, especially as it's a natural extension of the excellent Tapo smart home system we already enjoy.

I paired this with a Tapo P110M using the "Automations" feature of the Tapo product line to control a Oasis D-165-HG GST Commercial Grade Dehumidifier. This thing is FLAWLESS!!! Works better than most commercial humidistats. In fact it is better than the P.O.S. AprilAire 76 Digital Wall Mount Dehumidifier Control. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

The TP-Link Tapo Smart Temperature and Humidity Monitor (T315) is easily one of the best smart thermometer and hygrometer devices available today.I’ve placed these in multiple areas across my home, and they’ve been fantastic for real-time and historical tracking. The data logging is impressive — you can download temperature and humidity readings in increments as small as 1 minute, which is incredibly helpful for detailed monitoring.Compared to the Nest 4-pack of temperature sensors (which I also own and would rate only 3 stars), this product is in a completely different league. Nest’s sensors don’t support any logging or historical data export — a serious omission by Google. With the Tapo, I finally have the visibility and control I need.My next goal is to make these work alongside my Nest thermostat using IFTTT, and I’ll update this review in the winter with how well that integration performs. But so far, I'm extremely happy with this purchase. Highly recommended if you're serious about tracking indoor climate!

When paired with the smart hub, this is a fantastic little smart monitor. The screen is very easy to read and updates fairly quickly. Being able to monitor the temperature and humidity throughout the day with graphs in the Tapo app is great, and you can also set it to trigger actions if temperature or humidity gets outside of your set parameter (such as use one of the Tapo smart plugs to turn on a fan or a humidifier, if your humidifier turns on with power applied at least).
