I go through vacuum cleaners like others go through paper plates at a picnic. Ok, I exaggerated..but over the last 18 years I've shared my gaff with two Norwegian Forest Cats...both ginger boys and they were how you would describe as "fluffy". During their reign I tried a wide variety of vacuum cleaners and only Vax were capable of the job. Now I have a young half Norwegian Forest Cat, he's also Royal Red and my previous Vax is still usable but starting to complain after 3 years hard work!This one is from the same stable but a different model, the lead is considerably shorter than the previous one which is a blessing! Ok, I have to plug it in to different sockets but I'm not getting wrapped up in excess wire!Delivery was excellent, putting it together was extremely easy and the box is now a cat fort.As with all my previous Vax uprights the suction is phenomenal! Pulls up fur with no issues other than 'Blimey!', it's very easy to clean, and I'm always shocked at the amount of dust (dander) it picks up.This model is very lightweight so it's easy to manoeuvre around, it came with one attachment, a little crevice/brush device.All in all an excellent vacuum cleaner at an exceptional price! 100% recommended!

I’m really impressed with the Vax Mach Air. It’s incredibly powerful and picks up dust, pet hair, and dirt with no problem at all — even from carpets and hard floors. What surprised me most is how lightweight it is, making it easy to carry around the house or up the stairs. The suction stays strong, the bin is easy to empty, and it feels sturdy without being bulky. For the price, it’s an absolute bargain. Definitely a great buy if you want performance without spending a fortune.

Great value vacuum. Bought this as my 25 year old dyson just couldn't be nursed along anymore and I wasn't prepared to spend a lot of money to replace it.This was a great price and worth trying. At time of purchase it was around the £62 mark.Ordered Thursday, delivered Friday to my rural island address. Royal mail always good for us.In use 5 minutes after delivery.Nothing really to assemble, unbox, slot the handle in and off you go.It is lightweight, but i suppose that will be subjective.It didn't feel particularly robust, but it does what it should. Easy to maneuver, not used the hose yet, but i don't have stairs and it gets to where I need to clean easily.Suction was great, I hadn't expected it to be quite as powerful.Photo taken after going over my carpet, that had already been vacuumed by my old dyson. Mortified at the dust it picked up!I was surprised at the top of the handle, it felt like something was missing; very odd to find no top on it.It's an inexpensive vacuum that does the job intended. And it does it well enough.Can't comment of longevity, but I can't see any reason to think it will not do me a long time.At this price, it's a no brainer.

I have purchased vacuum cleaners for the past 50+ years. It used to be Hoover of course, and then along came Dyson to steal the thunder. In all, I bought three Dyson vacuum cleaners and was disappointed in each but still hoped every time, they would get better. But they did not. My second favourite was a Morphy Richards - heavy but powerful. Finally to this vacuum cleaner. It's my No.1. Lightweight but good suction. Well made - easy to know when to empty, simple to assemble and use. At this price there have to be some downsides I guess. It's not really suitable for stairs and the clip to hold the brush accessory is not strong enough. But you can spend 4x as much for a Dyson or a Shark if you like, but in my opinion, this VAX does not disappoint.

Really impressed with this hoover, very lightweight, great suction on carpet & hard floors, powerful.

I have been using this hoover for about a month,Things I liked are the ease of cleaning, I find the power of the machine is adequate on hard floors, storage capacity is great for a 1 bedroom, living area, kitchen flat.Things which could improve/dislikeThe suction power of the machine is good for carpet but not great as you would expect. The length of the lead could be longer as it’s okay but not great. The handling of the product in carpet is a but tricky and hard to turn and get into challenging places which hinders the functionality of the hoover, not that easy to use. The detachable horse is really short and would not expand to your needs, so cleaning dust off the windows or in a small places above the ground level where you want to dust off, like sofas. It’s really short so you have to literally lift up the hoover to reach those heights places even when its around 5 feet from ground level.Overall it’s a good product but with some downsides which we can understand at this price point they have to cut some corners. But, is it value for the money, I think you can go for it without any worries as it’s a decent product at this price range!Hope this helps :)

My expectation was not very high as it seemed exceptionally good value for money and I had imagined I would need to spend more than twice as much to get anything decent. It is light and very powerful which is what I wanted and I was very impressed.

Easily the best budget vacuum I've ever bought.So the trusty Dyson finally gave in and no amount of YouTube videos could help me fix it. Like a lot of people, it's just not the time for splashing out hundreds of pounds on another premium vacuum brand so we looked around and took a gamble on this one.Had it a month and so far very pleased.Pros; light weight, not too noisy, good pick up on short carpets and hard floors and a really good price.Cons; small capacity, needs emptying more regularly however is very easy to empty compared to my previous Dyson. Loses 1 star because the hose is hard/fiddly to use and quite short.Overall I would recommend as a budget vacuum.
