Very Good printer for Small Businesses
Have been using the Brother printer for several months now. It has performed very well, no matter what I required it to print. It is easy to operate and has many options that can be used when printing. The color printing is accurate and provides great copies of work and certificates

Unbelievably good
Normally I don't write reviews, but I bought the Brother MFCL3720 printer and my experience has been great. We have a multi-OS home office setup. My wife uses Windows, I have a Linux desktop and Linux laptop, we have Android phones and when my son or daughter visit they have iPhones and Macs. We have tested the apple products yet, but I needed something that would work well with all of these.Delivery: exactly on time, delivered right to our front door, the box was clean and free of "crunches" or any evidence of mishandling.Unboxing: lots of good packing and shock-absorption in the box, the printer is a bit heavy for one person to lift, although the delivery woman managed it. We got it unpacked and just followed the 7/8 step "quick setup" sheet. We removed internal tape and packing material, re-installed the toner cartridges, put some paper in and plugged it in.Setup: super simple, the automatic connection to the network didn't work for me (perhaps due to my eero wifi router) but manually selecting the network ssid and entering the password was easy and well-explained in the setup sheet. Once that was done it connected right away to the network.Windows: relatively easy, used the "add printer" capability accessed through the control panel; it took a while to download the driver and go through setup, but once completed it connected right away and printed no problem.Android: scanned the QR code from the printer LCD screen and downloaded the Brother mobile connect app from the Play Store. This went fine. I tried opening a photo within Google Photos and print. I did have to select the Brother printer but it produced a nice large color photo.Linux (laptop and desktop): this worked astonishingly well, either because of the capability of Linux, or of the Brother printer support, or both. I opened the Settings..Printers menu and the printer was already there! I didn't have to install anything, it just found or downloaded the appropriate driver and worked to print immediately. Very impressive.Features: duplex (two sided) printing worked immediately as an option in the "print" dialog of applications. I have scanned a few pages using the very useful "VueScan" utility available from Hamrick and again it just immediately worked flawlessly, no fussing. The entire setup and testing took 25-30 minutes. Based on the first day of ownership at least, I give it my highest recommendation and look forward to years of use.

disappointing policies and forced obsolescence
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I picked this product because it has all the features I want and seemed easy use. However, after purchasing it, I realized that It comes with "starter" toner, which is good for about 500 pages, and you can't use third party ink, seemingly at all. So, here it is, a laser printer that refuses to print black and white, because one of the colors is not available. Very very disappointed after recommending this to my business colleagues and volunteer group as a low cost, high quality solution. Definitely high quality, definitely high cost. Doesn't print particularly good photos, either.

So far, buying the MFC3720 was the right decision. No doubts; happy to have bought it.
VERY well packed. The MFC3720 Replaced a similar but less capable 9 year old unit used in my home and for a fair amount of professional work. I'd guess I went through about 4 complete toner sets. When it needed repair for the first time, I bought the new one instead. It is much faster to boot up and to print, and might be a bit quieter. Touch screen is much better, and print is quick and crisp. I have not tried two sided printing yet. It is heavy, ~44# or 20 kg, but feels strongly built. What might pass for lift handles are uncomfortable, but it's not designed to be portable. I have no regrets about buying this one and retiring the old one.

Perfect install
Perfect install. The setup of this printer was flawless! Which is not to say it wasn’t complex, but the front panel, phone app, and PC software all worked together in tandem. I n addition to printer setup, I have the app on 2 phones for printing and 3 PCs. In 30 years, smoothest install I’ve ever had. Again, not simplistic, because the modern security and authentication steps are mind blowing. Print quality is Brother-amazing, so almost anticlimactic. Only been a week, but so far we are thrilled with our new multi function printer.

Effortless Scanning with VueScan
VueScan from Hamrick proved to be incredibly useful for scanning a few pages, working flawlessly without any hassle. The setup and testing only took 25-30 minutes. After just one day of use, I highly recommend it and anticipate many years of great performance.

Best printer I have ever owned.
I love this printer. It lasts a ream of paper before requiring a toner cartridge, and you don't have to purchase Brother cartridges. It connects easily, even over the internet. I can print in the same room or across the county, whatever. It prints front and back on everything from legal paper to index cards. My only complaint is the inability to scan both sides without intervention. I will never buy an inker again.

Very nice so far
Only had it a week but so far, so good. This is my first home laser printer. This the weighs a ton. I almost needed a fork lift to get it from my front porch into the house 😂. Fortunately, the printer is in a big bag with handles that allows you to easily lift it out of the box. Set up was fairly easy. Although I could not get the printer to connect to my home Wi-Fi network through the Epson app that I downloaded for the sprinter so I ended up just going through the printers Wi-Fi set up and connecting it to my route, which went very smoothly other than that, the printer set up was pretty straightforward. The iPhone app that I am using and downloaded works really well through the printer. I’m glad I don’t have to do all that my former old Epson inkjet and do it all through my computer ,so that was nice. It’s no speed demon, but it certainly has a very good quality. Print I’ve done a little black-and-white a little color only a weekend so time will tell but so far I’m very happy with this printer.
