Works well. Totally waterproof. I have bigger legs and this fits snuggly on the leg. I don't have a cast on but have a wound I've been dealing with for some time. I needed something other than a trash bag and duct tape and found this. Definitely recommend

I used this over my splint and cast after my ankle surgery. It goes up to a little past the knee. Putting it on is a bit challenging, but thats because of the rubber being so tight to prevent the water coming through, which is necessary. Once it’s on it’s spacious and comfortable. The only minor problem I had with it, which I’m sure is the case for most of these products, is that the condensation from my hot shower would seep into the cast covering a little bit and would get steamy. This would cause some minimum moisture to get into the cast, which of course casts should be kept dry to avoid infections. Other than that though, this cast has done its just at keeping me dry!I also personally recommend still keeping your injured leg out of the shower if possible. I noticed when I had my foot down and the hot water was running on is when there was more condensation.

Though this product was slightly more expensive than other options I read the reviews that said it was worth the cost and after using it for a week I have to agree. The plastic ring and extremely stretchy silicone gasket at the top make for a very easy on/off process (which is key when you're already limited in mobility due to injury). Though I haven't had it for long I can tell the plastic is a very durable material and won't tear or stretch. The key to the whole thing is the quality of the seal and with the silicone gasket at the top the cast cover easily adapts to any shape and does create a watertight seal. Absolutely nothing got through to the cast. Only minor complaints that I have are really due to the fact that it does create such a tight seal - after a while there is some pressure on the leg being squeezed by the silicone, but not enough to cause pain. Also since no air is getting in or out during the shower, my toes can start to get a bit sweaty. However, there's no way I'd compromise on the quality of the seal to accommodate these minor issues. Happy with this purchase!

This is so much better and easier to use (and more waterproof) than a trash bag. HOWEVER, the opening isn't that large and I couldn't fit it over my foot with anything more than an ace bandage on my foot. So it worked great once my cast was off - I could remove my boot and use it in the shower. But only with a shower chair because I am non weight bearing.So be aware regarding your intended use!

Great product. Not one single leak. Rather amazing, actually.

My son is 17 and plays football for his High School. He broke his ankle recently (first leg cast) and at first my husband was wrapping up his leg for him when he showered with a trash bag and packing tape. It wasn't very secure nor waterproof so after the 2nd time using that method we opted to look on Amazon for a better solution. We purchased this cast cover and it's great. My son is able to use it himself and can put it on and take it off without any help. It's super easy to use and afterwards we just hang it on a door knob so it airs out and dries inside. The seal magically grips his leg tightly and doesn't allow any moisture inside nor does it allow his cast to get wet. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with a lower leg/ankle cast on. It makes life a little easier for that person who is already going through a lot with a broken bone and dealing with crutches and unable to walk.
