They multiply so fast!!
I received these on December 20th however I couldn’t find the package until the 22nd! So they went into my tank on the 23rd. Today is January 3 so in only 11 days they have doubled!! The package came with more that 24 by far! But they are growing quickly.I’m even going to transfer some to my mom’s tank and see how long until hers is full. Thank you for a healthy great product. They came and sat in the package for an extra 3 days and not one was dead! They were vibrant and now flourishing!!!

NOTE BEFORE BUYING FOR AQUARIUM
I got this for my 20 gallon long aquarium, as I was planning on getting some white cloud minnows, and they like floating plants to shelter in... and the crayfish hiding at the bottom of the tank is a savage little lawnmower who has destroyed every other live plant I've tried adding to the tank, so it HAD to be floating at least mostly out of her reach to even stand a chance. The salvinia came in looking a little rough, with almost no root to be seen because of shipping stress, but after just a couple of days they started sprouting. My main concern was that I hadn't gotten nearly enough for my tank- the amount I got didn't even cover a spot the size of my palm.If you are also getting these little beauties for an aquarium instead of a pond?THE SMALLEST AMOUNT IS MORE THAN ENOUGH.Good lord, the way this plant spreads out. A month and a half later, and my tank is completely covered in a thick, luscious bed of gorgeous, healthy salvinia. I've taken scoops full of the stuff out and added it to other tanks and it's spreading and propagating there, too. It's grown in so thick that the little plants are trying to stack on top of one another. If I had more surface area, they'd spread out and propagate all the more. The roots are around an inch, inch and a half long, soft, and spread out beautifully, making a little upside-down forest for my white clouds to play in. Like other floating plants, salvinia is a nitrate sponge, which helps keep my water parameters great. Between them hogging the nutrients and hogging the light, my constant algae battle in that particular tank has gotten much less frantic. And when the crayfish wants a salad treat, well, there's plenty of wholesome greens for her to choose from.Seriously, though, the way these things replicate is insane. I feel like I could fill a kiddie pool with this stuff by now and it's only been a month and a half. The only problem I've had with it is keeping my HOB filter from dunking it all under water (a floating ring of air tube solved that).Treat your fishies. Get yourself some salvinia. You won't be sad that you did.

Failure to thrive
They came somewhat yellow and wilted; but I gave them time to adjust. Now they’re turning black and falling apart, despite liquid fertilizers and good lighting. It’s pretty sad because I adore this plant, I guess I’ll just have to find it somewhere else.

A forest in a handful
Allllllright. Here goes:At first, when I received these plants, I noticed they looked healthy and fresh. I was satisfied with their appearance, but unsatisfied with the amount of money I paid and the amount of plant I received. I didn't want to review this until some time passed. It was about $20 (with shipping) for a small handful. I thought it was a rip off and a stingy amount. Can we fast forward to now? Now (a few weeks/months later), I have no idea what I am going to do with the FOREST that has grown in my tank. They replicated so quickly that they nearly completely cover the surface of my ten gallon tank. So much growth that I had to transfer some to my 45 gallon tank...which now continue to sprout and grow. So this is the question: do you want a fast growing plant that will cover the surface of your tank? Because this is exactly what will happen...fairly quickly. If you want something more controllable, this is not it. This will grow and grow and grow...and grow. With the right conditions, these plants will flourish. I definitely recommend this seller and their product.

Sad
They lasted for bit but I don't know what happened to them because they're all but gone now. Could be just me, but I'm sad they didn't last. Might try again for a different tank.

Lots of Spangles!!
The media could not be loaded. So they came in the mail today earlier than expected so that was a plus.. only two tiny little leaves dead the rest were fine so another plus.. the only thing I'm worried about is possible hitchhikers like snails and worms...I see some people have complained about that and i REALLY don't want that so I'll update in a Chipotle couple weeks but it covered almost the whole top of my tankUPDATE 1 WEEK LATER!!I didn't realize how much more leaves I had till I did a side by side of when I got them last week to today!! HOLY COW!! SO much more in JUST A WEEK!! And I was worried I didn't have enough light!! I have the Marineland 5 gallon portrait tank and the spangles appear to be doing GREAT!! So far I haven't noticed any snail or worm hitchhikers but I'll continue to update.... that aside, EXTREMELY happy with this purchase***UPDATE***So it's been a few months now and unfortunately my tank is infested with tiny worms.. these are the only plants I've put into my tank so I think it's a safe assumption that they came from the plants... they also began to brown and die off(the plants) my Betta eats the worms when he sees them so I hope they don't make him sick.. I've tried as best I can to get the majority of them out

Great plants but a couple of bugs.
Came in great condition none of them were brown. Only issue is there were a couple of bugs that came with the plants.
