HP x360 14 inch Chromebook is a quality device.
I have had this Chromebook since January 3, 2020. My primary goal was to use this device as my daily newspaper. I have dropped my print subscription and now get the online e-edition of my daily newspaper saving me $50. a month. So far the experiment is working like a charm. The screen is clear and sharp. It boots as quickly as advertised and it is barebones simple to use. No muss no fuss. It runs very fast and has all the RAM and memory it needs for my purposes.I could use my Win 10 laptop for the same purpose but that machine is bigger and heavier, and it also comes with more baggage in the form of overhead and maintenance. I like both machines for different reasons.I would buy this Chromebook again and I would recommend it to others.

Very Capable and Fast Chromebook
This is my second chromebook. I use it for business and travel. The x360 is far faster than my previous chromebook and advancedly more capable. I now have android apps on it for productivity and linux apps. I must admit i am new to linux, but the availability of these apps has made me branch out and try them. The screen is extremely crisp and sharp. The only drawback if it has one, is it show glares. 14 inches, for me, is a great travel friendly size. The battery life is just great. Able to get through a whole day easily without a charge. The build quality is solid. This does not feel like a cheap laptop. My only concern when I purchased it was the few reviews I saw stating the hinge was too loose. The hinge is slightly looser than other chromebooks, however I use this thing every day and I have seen the wiggle and if touched hard enough or moved or picked up the screen will slightly fall. It's not a dealbreaker but it does honestly happen.Overall this is a great product. I would recommend it to any of my family members. Next week I am buying a second one for my wife, as she loves the convenience this chromebook provides.Just so you know, I bought this instead of the Asus c434 which I was waiting for. But when you look at the price difference, the more powerful i3 processor, more RAM, I could not justify not buying this model instead. Besides, I have read about horror stories of the c434 and its quality control issues to realize I made the right choice for me and my business needs. If you are thinking about buying, stop thinking. You will not be disappointed. I was not.2 week update:Computer is still a great choice, but I've switched to the Dell Chromebook Inspiron 14 2-in-1 for the following reasons.1. Screen: HP has a decent screen but it is not great when you compared to the Dell. The dell is sharper, brighter, and has extremely great viewing angles. HP is dimmer and has a glare while in direct sunlight.2. Dell comes with a stylus. May not be big for some, but for me it's a plus. At times I need to have the ability to sing documents on the go, and this makes it easier.3. Dell has the Same processor, double the memory at 128 GB. Yeah it does cut the RAM in half from 8 to 4, but I have not noticed a hit on performance.4. Speakers seem to be louder on the Dell.5. The hinge on the Dell is tighter than the one on the HP. The one on the HP does move when you move the device. This being said, the HP x360 is still a very good device. It is lighter than the Dell Inspiron. Yeah you do notice the weight of the dell. Yes after a while you do get used to the weight of the Dell, But you do notice it at first. But when I tell you the screen on the Dell is a night and day difference, it is. When you set them side by side, you just will be amazed. I use my cheomebook a lot, and the screen is what I interact with the most, and that was the deciding factor for me. I do like the keyboard and track pad on the HP better though.

I think I'll keep it :)
Great chromebook, fast, plenty of RAM, excellent keyboard and touchpad. The screen is not really bright enough for viewing in full sunlight, but is plenty bright enough for indoor lighting. It's a little heavier than I'm used to, but light enough to use in bed. The camera is so-so, but functional. Best of all, it's built on a new platform and has 6 1/2 years of guaranteed updates from Google. Linux using Crostini is pretty snappy too.

Do Not Open The Box Unless You’re 100% positive You’ll Keep It!!
Bought this for school. It doesn’t work with the required software, so I had to return it. Admittedly, I should have read the fine print, but I can’t believe I’m only getting $358 refunded when I purchased this computer for $475. It’s a great computer, but make sure it’s exactly what you want before opening the box, or you’ll pay a 20% restocking fee, $20 return fee, and the tax refund will of course be based on the lower refund price~not the tax amount you actually payed.

As I move away from Windows
Windows has become burdensome. Most of what I do is on the web, so I am on a quest to see how to use web-based apps to perform my presently Windows based world. It is going well. Chromebook beats the pants off Windows for most of my needs. But not all. I am enjoying this new machine. Fast on. Fast off. Always up to date. Easy and quick interface. Long battery life. Light weight. Inexpensive. GET ONE!

Starts great but durability is poor
I have had this chromebook for 10 months now and have used it every day. No children use or touch it.Battery life is great, the touch screen is great. Zippy, keyboard gives good response. Speakers are meh, but it's an ultra thin laptop so that doesn't surprise me.Why the 3 stars? It's 10 months old and will barely charge. Half the time it doesn't recognize when it's plugged in and it flicks between charging/not charging. I've tried two different chargers, same thing with both. I've had this before on a computer and it was about a month until it died. Not impressive longevity there - my previous tablets have lasted 2+ years of daily use.The screen has also flickered occasionally since I got it, but since it hasn't become worse over time, I guess that's not a big problem.

Great for photography with free Google software
I bought this for my wife as an alternative to the Windows laptop she has been using for photography. I installed the Google Photos app and Google Snapseed photo editing software from the Google app store and she is thrilled with the performance, ease of use and functionality. It folds into a large tablet that is comfortable for surfing the web while curled up on the sofa, and it has a very nice touch screen The back lit keyboard is very nice. I recommend this chromebook to anyone whose computing needs can be satisfied with web based software and the apps found in the Google store. I find it much easier then dealing with Windows.
