Definitely worth it to help cats calm down.
These two were instant enemies. Our older ten yr old girl was having NONE of the new kittens shenanigans. We did the introduction by the books, seperate spaces and then finally we let the kitten roam free, and when we did that, my older cat really had a tough time. She was quite literally like a rock. She tensed her body up so much, she hissed so hard at him, that she gave herself an asthma attack. I was in tears because I thought we'd have to take the kitten back. I ordered this and prayed. I'm not even religious really, but hunny, I prayed these cats would get along. Now, at first it wasn't working, it was getting dangerously hot, I thought the other reviews were right. THEN I noticed it wasn't a clip in, it's a screw in bottle, it wasn't in all the way which made it get hot! I also snipped the bottom and top a bit to help absorption. I have been checking it every day though, and if you get one I suggest keeping an eye because I think with any air wick type thing, 1/100 is going to be a dud/fire hazard. Even the air wick reviews have these same issues. So first off, make sure the bottle is screwed in all the way, snip the bottom if you don't think it's wet enough (if your hand doesn't get SOMETHING on it when you touch the soft brown thing at the top, it's not absorbing correctly!) Also, I think those of you complaining about it not working probably have a larger space and you need more than one. They clearly suggest one for every room, I noticed a HUGE difference just by adding a second one. So, don't give up on a product just because it doesn't work as fast as YOU want it to. Especially if you're introducing cats like me, it takes time, much more than a month most likely. And all air wick thingys only last a month, so I'm not sure why anyone is upset about it lasting a month šGuess no one reads before they buy stuff. š¤·āāļøSo I hope this helps some of you out there deciding on this. Because I'm getting one for every room! I've also mixed both brands, the feliway and this one. If you love your cats like I do, it ain't no thang.

This is my first time using the new design and it seems to work well.
I swear by Comfort Zone Diffuser and have used it for many years. We've had our two cats for twelve years. We bought them from an out-of-state, highly rated breeder. We couldn't figure out why they were terrified of us and stayed under a bed for the first few months we had them. Then one got sick and we discovered she had Feline Herpes. Upon some investigation, I discovered that while the Breeder may have once been a good breeder, she had turned into a cat abuser who kept all her cats in one large cage and never socialized them. She was so bad that the police wanted to jail her. I didn't know what I could do to make them relax and then I so Feliway and Comfort Zone it two rooms. They relaxed and acted like different cats. I'm not saying they're fully socialized but they're happy with my husband and me and sometimes,on a rare occasion, they will even come out to see a guest and stay! At first I used the two brands interchangeably but I've settled on Comfort Zone for the last six or seven years. I've had no problem with the diffuser smoking or emitting any odor or heat, with the new design, and was pleasantly surprised to discover than this diffuser only has to be replaced once a year. I highly recommend it. So do my cats!

Liquid sprays from device
The media could not be loaded. Iāve gone through the reviews and I donāt think Iāve seen anything like this so I figured Iād go ahead and make a post. I have three of these in three different rooms I noticed a drip like stain coming from above the outlet where I have it plugged in it extends up about 3 1/2 to 4 feet. The first time I noticed it I thought I was disgusting and that I wasnāt cleaning my walls but then when I noticed it on the two other outlets I thought something must be wrong. I initially thought maybe this was something that happens when you first plug it in but Iāve plug them in in different places and it keeps happening . Iām not sure if Iām doing something wrong and maybe Iām supposed to tilt the outlet so it squirts out and maybe I didnāt see it in the instructions but wanted to see if anyone else had these issues or if youāre thinking about buying this maybe tilt it to the side and let it spray somewhere else. I donāt know it did seem to wipe off pretty clean but these were light colored walls I donāt see much damage but I donāt want stuff spraying up on my walls.

Ineffective for my cat, but maybe not yours.
Never worked for my cat. Not necessarily a bad product though. Hence, average Stars.

Really torn on this product based on issues stated below
This works pretty good but hereās the problem, itās a shot in the dark if it will work correctly out of the box. I have to just start buying the refills and not the entire units because the units A: sometimes leak B: wick up the fluid so fast itās gone in 7-10 days C: broken wick D: just doesnāt work at all. I suppose if I get a good head Iāll just keep on buying replacement cartridges from now on which I assume will eliminate these problems . I do want to stress... this really is a good product, itās not a šÆ for the problems I am having but I do thing it is beneficial to the point where I buy them every month (when they work) otherwise it could be a week. Itās really too bad regarding all the inconsistencies.
