For the price I wasn’t expecting much but this is simple to use, robust and works a treat. I lost my wedding ring while climbing with the likely area a wood covered in leaves and ivy. This worked really well at close work finding buried items as well. BUT after attaching it to a walking pole and using it to sweep the area like one of the detectors that cost a lot, I found my ring! Amazing. Now I have a useful tool for DIY and saved my marriage;-)

This pointer metal detector is brightly coloured so easy to find if mislaid, has a lamp to light up area of search, comes with pouch for fitting on belt, good value works well. This item makes locating the metal object easier and takes less time. That means more finds overal. I would recomend this product.

There are many reviews on YouTube comparing this and other cheap GP pointers with the Garratt Pro, for example. Most of course do not come up to the Pro, but the EXTSUD is not that bad. It did well in the air test (about 2"). I only use it on beaches, and it is acceptable there—for the price.

I start this review having lost my garret pro pointer (in my home) lolSo didn't want to spend much for a replacement untill I can locate my garret pro pointer.This pointer dies not pick up a signal as deep as the garret but will pick up a shallow surface find from around a depth of 3" .I found this actually to be a positive?Because with the garret I would locate the find the pin point the find with the GPP now that find could be over 5" or so deep , yes you got the vibration and sound to indicate roughly how deep the find is.This cheap one if it does not beep then I instantly know it's deeper than 3" so dig deeper from the get go, the use the pointer and if you hear a sound it's just like the garret and gets more intense beeping and vibration.I has a light and is bright orange , comes with a pouch to fit to your belt and a coil lanard so you don't lose it.It's not as sturdy as a GPP but for the money don't discount its value as an aid to help pin point a find.I have been detecting since the 70's and I recommend this pointer.I don't know how water proof it would be but I'm not going under water or laying it down in a puddle.It would I think be able to handle normal rain but if it's taking to hard I'm not going detecting lol.Worth the money 5 *****

Being new to metal detecting I didn't want to spend too much money on equipment, in case I don't get into it. Found this pinpointer extremely useful and very accurate, really sensitive and works at a good depth too. Well othe money!

Quite a cool thing but needs to be able to detect deeper and less precise. It works for sure but it wasn't quite as sensitive as expected.

This is a very good piece of equipment. Was only using the metal detector on it's own and took me ages to find the object when dug up. As soon as I got this bit of kit it took me a lot less time to find the item. Like in 1min. Awesome piece of kit great value

I don't have any other experience of these to compare it to, but so far it works great. Got this for my 8 year old as a birthday present to go with a metal detector and so far it has proven to be a hit. Quite shocked at the amount of rusty nail we've found in the garden and my lawn now has more holes than Augusta golf course, but proving to be a great gift. Even found a 1969 1 franc coin, so cant complain.
