Finally got around to installing this in my son's Switch. Original fan had become super loud and console would get very hot.After watching a couple of YouTube videos, installation was fairly easy with provided tools, and it works like a charm! Quiet and cool. Price was on point too.

It works as intended. The fan is a little louder than the original but it dissipates the heat very well. Make sure to use your thermal paste too.

The fan died on my original series Switch and this kit came with everything I needed, even the tools and thermal paste. It was easy enough to look up a teardown guide and get everything fixed up. Now my Switch handles more intensive games better due to it actually being able to cool and is silent. Nothing was the wrong size and is the perfect fan replacement if you are also having a dead or noisy fan problem with the factory parts.

I was really looking forward to fixing my switch on my own. I only needed the one tri-wing screwdriver and the fan so I got this kit that was specifically meant for the nintendo switch consile. The first problem is that the tri-wing screwdriver they provided is stripping the screws. The screws are flat inside. The screwdriver they gave me has a sharp tip. So my solution was to file down the tip so it would fit properly. I was able to remove 3 of the 4 screws which allowed me to bend and turn the backing enough to access the fan.Once I got the fan in I realized a huge design flaw. The switch fan had thick, reinforced holes for the screws, but this one has thin nodules that not only bend easily, but don’t allow the screws to hold it tight. So the fan wobbles. The foam tape really doesn’t help much.The fan seems to work slightly better than my broken one, so I’m keeping it, but still I feel as if I was ripped off.

Product works well after installation. The included tools were not great. I used my own tools instead. There are no instructions but I used YouTube. There are plenty of tutorials that will guide you through the process. It is somewhat tedious but if you take your time and follow one of the tutorials you should be fine. Bottom line is the product works and if you are up to it you can save some money.

My fan had stopped working (pro tip -- if your Switch isn't charging your joy-cons, that's another hint your fan isn't working and replacing it will fix that issue).I watched a YouTube video on how to replace the fan and bought this kit because it came with the screw drivers, prying tool, and the thermal paste needed to do the replacement.I'm very happy with this purchase.One more hint -- the tutorial I followed sad to turn on the Switch before attaching the back. If you do that, DO NOT put your sd card back in. I broke mine by trying to push the back case back on while the card was in.No harm done because I had uploaded everything to the cloud anyways. Just had to wait for everything to re-download to the replacement sd card.

I needed to replace teh fan on my Nintendo switch becuase it was dead and causing the switch to overheat. I purchased this fan and swapped it out with the original. When I first turned it on it sounded like a jet engine taking off. Super not happy about it. Upon inspection I noticed that the metal casing was slightly bent in and rubbing on the fan. I bent it back out with a screwdriver and voila! It works quietly as advertised. I read a bunch of reviews complaining about the noise level but I think the case was just rubbing on the fan. Do not be discouraged from purchasing this product.
