Very Well put together!!!!! Thankfully I have thus far never had to use it. It's an item which is good to have on hand in a 4th floor walkup apartment in New York City or anywhere.

Exactly what we were looking for. Great product and easy to install and use. Even for a 7 year old.

This escape ladder easily fits our two story home and adapts to our thick railing. The two grommets appear strong enough to carry the weight in the description which I believe to be #300. Since we have not had the need to use this escape, I can only speculate. 1) The rope ladder will be a little hard to get footing on when it is next to the deck. I do not know if a ladder like step would change this? 2) I havent' tried to fold the ladder but if you think about how to fold a rope ladder, not sure it would be easy under any conditions.The solution is to find a water proof deck box that will hold the ladder and the cages we will need to rescue our pets as well as a rope to lower them down. Everything will be right where we need it.I order one deck box, plastic, and it would never have been water proof. A plastic mess. Looks like finding one locally is the way to go in order to see constructioj.

I was really impressed the business owner took the time to place a small thank you note in the bag with the ladder. I really enjoy supporting businesses like that, so that is why I am writing the review. This ladder so far has worked well and seems really great quality. I ordered it because my family gets really drunk at BBQ's and will fall in the water. We are on the bay with about a 5 foot drop at high tide, so this ladder has come in handy rescuing some drunk family who have fallen in the water.

My 5 year old had no prob throwing this out the widow. We first had a metal fire lader was to heavy for her. The carabiners are great they have a safety lock after being clipped and will not come undone. The rope seems to decent like something from a rock climbing gym. I have tried used this lader personally and works great my daughter also tried climbing up it she likes it. The only thing I didn't like is the steps are a little to far apart but my daughter was still able to climb it

I bought this escape ladder because the compressed style of ladder is not supposed to be reused, so you can't practice with it. Those ladders will also scratch up your siding because of stand outs to keep the ladder off the building. That's a helpful feature if you're escaping a fire, but will cause a lot of damage if you want to practice with an escape ladder, and you should definitely want to practice with your escape ladder. It fits in a small bag that goes under the bed right next to the window. I'm glad to have it.

Sturdy and well made

My first impression of the ladder is that it’s a solid product that could get the job done. Unfortunately I haven’t had the opportunity to try it out considering the product only came with a single carabiner, when the listing says it comes with two. The ladder also comes with a very strong chemical smell, so not sure how feasible it is to keep it stored inside if you live in a small apartment with not much ventilation.
