LANGBEINITE - Sulfate of Potash Magnesia (K-MAG) Organic Fertilizer 0-0-22 (5 pounds)

Well, I didn't expect to get the stunning crops from my apples, figs and persimmon espaliers - that are literally crammed into a 400 sq' allotment garden - but I did. The only thing I changed from the low nitrogen 5 3 1 GroPower regimen I've always used was adding Langbeinite by the handful three times throughout the dormant and leafing season. It would be pretty expensive to use on my small citrus grove but I suspect those trees, also planted pretty close, would benefit, too. The results were slow to show but this product made my sad, sad roses look like champs, my struggling newer espaliers produce wonderful fruit, and my established apple espaliers had amazing crops in both size of fruit and quantity and I was blown away. I have to say that an associate at an Armstrong Garden Center suggested it and I was skeptical and then I figured I had nothing to lose.

Easy to use affordable big bag

A soil test conducted by the Cooperative Extension Office a few years ago showed that the potassium level of my vegetable garden was low and recommended that I use a sul-po-mag fertilizer with a potassium level of 22 to correct the deficiency. I have used this product for the last couple of years and noticed that the plants, especially the root vegetables, are more productive. I plan to continue using this fertilizer until testing shows that the potassium level is in the optimum range.

Has plastic bag to hold langbeinite so it stays dry and doesn't clump.

Natural potassium sulfate crystals. Product arrived intact in thick HDPE bag. It was dry, as it should be. Looks genuine Langbeinite (based on prior purchases from different sources). Product and packaging meets my expectations.Needless to say about the benefits. A 5 lb bag will last at least 2 years for about 40 potted plants (roses, jasmine, vegetables). Blooming requires phosphorus (bone meal put during end of fall season will slowly decompose and do the trick), but overall plant health and vigor needs potassium. Readymade fertilizer mix use chemically derived potassium chloride which can disturb soil salinity.Don’t forget to feed a teaspoon of molasses, diluted in a gallon of water (serves 5 average sized pots). For Nitrogen, use fish emulsion over urea.Good luck with organic gardening using “living” soil.

Put recommended amount in all flowering plants. You'll get great blooms!! Gotta have this. Need a bigger bag for sure!
