As advertised.
Easier to hit than my regular 4 iron plus more distance makes it a true winner.

Diminutive but don't be fooled!
Neat little club. Reminds me a lot of a vintage PGA Scrambler trouble club. Club is smallish along side other hybrids. Kinda like a ladies club size. Hit a bunch of 50 yd run ups today getting used to it. Nailed some 150 yd targets. Straight, medium high flite, great feel and accurate. My goal is to get 135-150 yds out of it in my six club travel bag. Update...hit a bunch of 130 yarders this weekend...club is fantastic. The light weight shaft makes for great feel of club head. Hardly any swing effort required...just use wrist release.... FliesSTRAIGHT as an arrow for my swing. Workable, low, high, draw, etc. WOW!Update...several rounds later this club has exceeded my expectations. Great response and perfect for around 150 yards at 85 mph swing speed.Ok for value. Grip small. Weight 13.2 oz. Feels light. Performance TBD.

nice club. but headcover broke
I have had a few Orilmar clubs over the years, this is a very good one. feels great for balance and ball seems to stay straight alot. Only problem is zipper on headcover, very small and cheap, zipper handle broke off first time I used it. hard to use their headcover anymore. Looking for one I can use, Playing without one now.

Easy to hit pitching wedge!
If you need a high lofted hybrid club I highly recommend this Orlimar Escape product, it's the easiest club to hit in my bag. This club plays exactly like an iron except there is no hosel to worry about. It also feels heavier and more solid than an iron which is great for being able to feel the club head throughout the swing. The yardage is exactly the same as what I was hitting with my regular pitching wedge except it's more accurate due to reduced mishits. It's nice to play without worrying about hitting a shank and this club is even good for chipping around the green because it doesn't dig. I will probably order the 9 hybrid as well to cover my current yardage gap. No concerns with the club quality so far and it comes with a nice headcover. Note: I changed the grip to a larger size and had it extended by an inch to fit me properly so there are no issues customizing the club.

No brainer
I've played golf all my life, and at one time was pretty good. However now at age 70 my swing speed has slowed way down. Consequently my iron play has really suffered. The problem isn't so much distance - I can pull a 5 instead of a 7 iron - but height. Low shots can't carry hazards or hold greens. So hybrid clubs to the "rescue". I've played Orlimar clubs in the past and it's a quality brand. You can pay lots more for a hybrid - at $50 these are a great buy and allowed me to afford a set of 5-9. I chose the senior shaft. The quality is very good. The grips are fine but I prefer an oversize grip and put on Winn dry tac oversize grips. The clubs were D-0 swing weight when delivered and the heavier grip changed then to C-9.Probably like you, I really rely on these reviews - especially when buying something sight unseen and untried. So the bottom line - Buy Them! I couldn't believe how high they they launch the ball. They have a nice balance and have really helped my game. I've gained about 5 yds per club because they have a huge sweet spot and you'll love that feel of a solidly hit shot time after time. A hybrid 8 iron with the wide sole is a deadly chipping club. Hope this helps. One more thing - my golfing buddies have seen the light too.

Good club but cheap paint
The club is awesome. The reason it doesn't get a 5 Star rating is the cosmetic of the club Is cheap. it started to flake after one round of golf. but if the look of the club doesn't bother you after a couple of rounds. this is a nice weapon to have in the bag.

Great club for the money.
I used the Orlimar 3 hybred for first time today on the course. This 3 hybred has a smaller club head than most but this really didn’t affect my swing in any way. Nice looking solid club. I found it to give the ball a piercing mid air ball flight which faded to the right . The ball went as far as my more expensive 3 calaway hybred. I would say that this is a good club for the price. It hits the ball nicely. This club has an offset which causes a fade.

Nearly shank proof
If you have ever had the shanks, and I hope you never do, you know how it is disastrous to your game. It sometimes can last for days or weeks. I bought this club not to use regularly but when the shanks visit. I do use it in a extra set I have for a par 3 course. For the money it is a well made club, easy to hit and for me, shankless. 10/4/23 I have used this and a 9 from Orlimar repeatedly and wanted to update this review. These are truly quality clubs at a cost of 40% of the major brands. The finish is holding up along with performance. I highly recommend these clubs. They are “inexpensive” but not cheaply made.
