Small, light and incredibly accurate...
Ordered a Bosch GTS10 J first and it arrived damaged and had to go back. I couldn't get the same deal again, so I looked at other makes and deals. But it gave me a chance to have a look around the Dewalts closest rival. The Bosch is about £100 cheaper and has a 250mm blade.I could never have predicted that I would say this, but the Bosch isn't as well screwed together or nor was it as well looked after before being boxed up. There were over tightened screws and broken housings. The machine was dirty, marked and scratched inside the plastic packing. The throat plate was dented and the edge of the table top was gouged. The box wasn't damaged and the unit was sealed in plastic.Tool storage for the Bosch had been amazingly well thought out though and everything was to hand. For some strange reason the recesses in the tabletop, for taking accessories are a non standard size. It weighed a hefty 60lbs.The Bosch on the other hand was perfect right out of the box. I found some aspects of the assembly a little confusing. The riving knife and the plastic blade safety cover and dust extractor particularly. Everything stores nicely and is more or less to hand. The precision with which you can set the rip fence is a massive advantage with the Dewalt. Once set up, you can easily adjust it perfectly time, after time. Its brilliant...I can't find a real downside to the 210mm blade. The one supplied with the machine is Ok, but not outstanding, but easily remidied with more teeth. Obviously you lose some depth of cut with the smaller blade, but that's unlikely to make much difference to me. The 210's blades are cheaper too.Apparently, in the States the saw blade now has to reflect the size of the tabletop. The tabletop on the Dewalt is very small for a site saw, but adequate. All in all, the fits perfectly into my workshop. It's small, accurate and really powerful for a site saw.The Dewalt weights around 45lbs. It's much easier to lug around. The Dewalt was a pretty good price but arrived with an EU plug and a UK adapter. I can live with that and it all worked fine...

Pricey but worth it
I had the saw for a couple of years since my Einhell went to the tip. Its a well made thing and sits very well on the DeWalt DE 7400 trolley stand. It takes thinner blades which are supposed to be quieter (can't tell) and make less mess due to cutting a narrower kerf. It has served me well as a professional furniture makerPROS - does the job, well made, reliable, looks the part, riving knife comes off easy if you wanna do rebate cutsCONS - 210 blade only cuts 65mm deep, no screw adjustment for tilting the blade over (although this isn't common on saws in this price range), difficult to set up the fence to run parallel
