Delicious candied orange peel for Panettone loaves! Just sweet enough.

I eat candied orange peel. Yeah, I know, it is supposed to go into fruitcake or ice cream or something, but I eat it straight. I took a chance on this because I can go thru a supermarket container of very bad stuff in a day. It is super! Just sweet enough to eat straight. Perfectly tender, with loads of rind under the peel. The oranges were good ones and it shows. Yes if you get it shipped in this 90F heat it will no longer have sugar on the surface, but if that bothers you you can shake it with some sugar. But oh this is good stuff. I think I'll sacrifice a few pieces to mix with vanilla ice cream for a special treat. Or nah, just eat it.

This review was given BEFORE I received my last order .These are REALLY top drawer, they are the BEST I have ever bought, even better than ones I've made myself, I will certainly order these again.The ones I received today were NASTY, I had been looking forward to having my favorite snack again, these were dry, whatever they were coated with was NOT the same as before, this was a white mess that had hardened on the peel, and bottom of the container, and the peel itself was dry and tough.

I have ordered this product for years and have been very satisfied with the quality and taste. My recent order that was delivered has a Prop65 warning (see attached picture) and that is very concerning. I need an answer from the seller regarding this warning - otherwise I am going to return it.

We have made these in the past and they are time- consuming to make. I like to fill vintage looking jars with different goodies for Christmas. The peels are a nice size and they arrived in record time. I ordered mine in December, so outdoor temperatures were about 30 degrees. They were a little gooey, but not a mess. A little trick is to coat with granulated sugar, placed single layer on jelly roll pan and let them sit out overnight. That will separate them and give them a snowy appearance.

These are AMAZING! I LOVE these orange peels! They are so good! I don't think I'm ever going to want to eat any candy ever again! I know they are candied, but eating a few of these will be was better than eating cake or or ice cream or whatever else it is that I want. I love candied orange peels, and these are the best I've ever had, I think I'm even going to buy OliveNation's candied lemon peels. I wasn't expecting to get these until 34 days from now, so they came way early! It's a nice big resealable bag, and even though I live in Texas, the product is not melted/watery/sticky. And I got 2 pounds to go though! I am very very happy.

These look amazing- thick and gorgeous, vibrant color. Sadly, their taste is super-dull. There's a slight zip of citrus at the start, and then you just keep chewing a sugary, bland gummy. I've always made my own sugared peels and they taste amazing! Tart and citrusy the whole way through, but it takes a good deal of work, so I was looking forward to just purchasing some. Like most foods, convenience comes with a serious drop in flavor.

Excellent for baking panettone bread. Just cut it up into smaller pieces, and add it to the recipe. Very good flavor, and arrived fresh in a plastic container. Plenty left over for other uses. Would definitely buy again.
