Nice solid structure.
I am pleased with the product. I was able to assemble it quickly, and by myself. I actually bolted it to a header that I secured to the house, so it is rock solid. Comes with directions in the universal language - all pictures!

Nice quality awning canopy... the factory could use a good thump upside the head, though.
I was impressed by the heavy-duty build of the poles and the finish overall. Especially the simplicity. I did buy a different shade cloth for it though, so the rain could pass through without pooling, and so it matched the other shade cloth on my pergola. I also put this up solo, even as a 55+ female. :) Just a few notable items that I ran into while installing this, that you might want to be aware of: 1) One of the large leg tube edges was bent so I couldn't slide them together. Used some pliers and a hammer to get it back in shape enough to insert. 2) If you will be putting this together on a wooden deck that is easily scratched, it is helpful to bungee a garden glove over each leg when it's sitting half-height or you'll scratch the heck out of your deck tiles as you slide it around during installation. And finally 3) the one that made me the most angry was at the very last part where you're supposed to slide on the bottom half of each leg and you THINK you're about done... only to find out that the legs won't go in because some genius in the factory didn't grind down the metal edges on the inside from the holes that were drilled and the unfinished metal was blocking the other pole from sliding in. I had to go into all four leg poles with a Dremel and diamond bit to grind down the edges of the bolt holes so they wouldn't interfere with sliding the lower half of the legs in. I was quite ANGRY on that one (minus 1 star for this)!! But once the excess metal on the inside was removed, the legs slid in perfectly and I am happy with the way it turned out. It fits perfectly over my sliding glass door out to the patio and seems heavy and sturdy enough that I won't even need to worry about anchoring it down since I changed the shade cloth to the kind that air can pass through easily. I think it's going to work out, and I like it so far! Provided that the factory people who are pre-drilling the poles actually do their jobs CORRECTLY, this is otherwise a really nice awning canopy and I'd definitely recommend it.

Cannot withstand rainfall!
This product is one to skip I’m afraid. Save your money - the seller will not help you when their product fails within 90 days.First of all it’s not *that* easy to assemble. Several parts of the metal framework were slightly bent when the arrived making it very difficult to slot together. WD40 and a lot of determination were required and I still couldn’t quite get every joint to fit perfectly. Nevertheless the framework was sturdy.Initially this looked great on our SE facing deck providing shelter from the strong sun of Philadelphia’s late summer, and allowing us to still use the deck in light to modest rain fall. The problems started with the first thunderstorm that brought heavy rain. While the canopy, pulled taught by numerous bungee cords is supposed to readily drain down hill, the middle section starts to bow inward during heavy rain forming a reservoir that rapidly captures large volumes of rainwater (multiple cubic feet) and does not drain without being lifted upwards manually.During the second thunderstorm since installation the fabric of the canopy started to tear the grommets due to the weight of the rainwater it had captured and now looks unsightly with an ugly gash where the canopy is torn on one side. The sellers are not interested in replacing or repairing, or offering any ideas how to improve the drainage from their product. Basically ‘it’s on you - tough luck’.So unless you live in Arizona or Palm Springs and thus tend to get a thunderstorm and heavy rain skip this product it’s not fit for purpose for 90% or more of the climatic conditions of the country. If the canopy tore after three years weakened by blazing hot sun and downpours that would be one thing, but this product lasted exactly two Philadelphia thunderstorms before going kaput - beyond disappointing.

One or two person assembly.
Two people make assembly easier, but not necessary. I put this together by myself. A rubber mallet is helpful. Instructions are not 100% clear. Numbers on the parts are not clear at all. It seems sturdy. I will be attaching it to my deck. Let’s see how it makes it through the summer.

Had to take it to my mechanic and have one part fixed.
I had to get my mechanic friend to fix one piece (elbow piece) all the holes had problems. The hole had to be expanded with equipment because it was smashed in a bit. The other holes on the same part had burs that needed to be filed down inside to make them connect. I will assemble today. Looks sturdy. This problem caused delay in my assembly.

Better than expected.
Better than expected, much sturdier and generally easy to assemble, expect the numbered bars were smeared and hard to read. I recommend this.
