I fell in love with Shelly Husband's crochet designs after coming across her Instagram page and then buying her Granny Square Patchwork book. I, however, had a little trouble following the instructions, even though I have been crocheting all my life, as I have always been making very simple projects. I decided to buy Granny Square Academy, and I do not regret that. I have learned so much. The book is extremely helpful and well written. I have now read every word and made every sample, and am ready to tackle some of her other beautiful designs.

I'd seen this book but wasn't sure if I was going to be able to do such beautiful work. After downloading Shelley's beginners book and really enjoying it, I took the plunge! I am so glad I did. Shelley's way of writing her patterns and explaining what happens next is fabulously helpful. I've grown so much in confidence and totally recommend this book to all crocheters, from novice to experienced. It'll take you on a wonderful journey. Thankyou, Shelley

I came across Shelley Husband in the ultimate granny square source book trying to tackle one of her patterns, I am so glad I did. I had learned basic crochet stitches working in rows but had never crocheted a granny square, after having some difficulty completing one of her patterns, I searched her on the internet trying to find help for the pattern, that is when I came across GSA. Perfect just what I needed, I have learned how to crochet granny squares with GSA alone. It has pattern help for every pattern with clear instructions and photos. There are also video tutorials for each pattern. I have learned so much from GSA, I am excited to learn more when GSA 2 is released.

This is a step by step guide to making neat and beautiful granny motifs. I’m not a beginner but I found it very helpful to improve my skills. The layout is easy on the eye and straightforward. The instructions are clear and simple.I will definitely be buying her new book this coming summer

I’m an experienced crocheter and ordered this for a variation of granny squares. I found the written instructions very confusing and too many asterisks. I also thought the book was very flimsy and definitely not worth the high price so I’m sorry but I have returned it.

I'm sure the content is as good as others say. However, it's impossible to read on any of my devices as the text is so small. It can't be changed in the settings either. Returned for refund.
