Plug and play-just installed yesterday. Super transformation of the old system. Controls the phone from steering wheel. I noticed no background noise, no quality of audio loss. Pull the mike towards steering wheel and install at the gauges-there are openings and you can simply run the mike wire through there and out where steering column adjusts. I put the unit itself on top of the hu850-dashboard has a large recess there. It instantly connects to your phones, pixel 8 sees it no problem too. Cheapest yet effective quality solution.

Got a 2003 XC70. Hardest part of the install was figuring out how to dismantle the surround in the car.My phone connects perfectly to Blue speak and hasn't dropped yet. The wheel controls work as usual, I have ffwd, rwd vol - vol +.Apparently the mic is clear too when I'm on the phone. I can hear other people very clearly. Callers can hear my steering wheel turn but not very loud, my fault for putting it there I guess.Only negative is that when I use the wheel controls the Bluespeak generates a tiny beep, it's not enough of a negative to care about though.Make sure you disconnect the car battery before you start or your car will throw up false airbag faults because of the wiring system in the car. These can only be cleared with very specific devices at your mechanics.

Not much to say on this, but it does exactly as it states - fits into the CD changer port on the back of the radio and allows Bluetooth connection to the car speakers and also includes an optional mic for hands-free calling.The hardest part was removing the climate controls to get to the screws to get the radio out. The instructions were clear and it connected to my phone first time and has worked flawlessly ever since. The only very slight criticism is that the volume needs to be turned up loud, which is fine until you change to the radio or CD player and nearly blow the speakers.

The quality of the Bluetooth connection is just perfect. It works almost as if the car came with it, steering wheel controls work, even for picking up and declining calls. Beats any BT to Radio transmitters as it removes the 'to Radio' part which ruins quality. Installation isn't hard [MIND: when loosening the climate control panel from the dash DO NOT disconnect the wires from it, you will need an OBD device sometimes to code it back to the car and get rid of error codes.] I wired the microphone through behind the radio to under the steering wheel, very simple to do.

This is a good value solution which works well, easy to install too once you have removed your stereo.Sounds quality is good and steering wheel controls work well.However, there is low level feedback through speakers when driving .. this is due to insufficient Filters in the cable. It need a ferrite to be added.Still happy though. Microphone is good and crystal clear phone call.

Received this adaptor this afternoon and, after about 10 minutes spent getting the centre console dismantled, plugged the unit into the cd changer socket and that was it. Once paired with the phone (which it did straight away) it all works perfectly. Once the mic is positioned and the lead hidden behind the trim everything is out of sight and you wouldn't know it was there. Sound quality is great and the steering wheel buttons control as they should.

I don’t often review things on Amazon, but just wanted to say they does simply work. Very easy installation into the CD changer port, and the audio quality via streaming is very good indeed - especially when combined with my Volvo V70’s (2003 with HU803) Dolby pro logic system.I’m so impressed with this piece of kit, it’s rare to find a plug and play solution that works so well. A good bit cheaper than the GROM device too.5/5!
