Great company to deal with! I had a leak problem with the first one sent out. The company immediately sent out a new one. They followed up and made sure it worked to my satisfaction. draining the oil on my Subaru Forester is a breeze now, no messy rags or oil getting everywhere I don’t want it.

I did the first oil change with the new plug and it was so nice not to have to undo the drain plug, put on a new crush washer, and torque the plug back to spec. It was so easy to plug the tube in. My only recommendation is to have either a weight or a clip from the drain end of the tube to aim the oil coming out. That would make it perfect. Still a 5 star. The hardest part now is just taking off the splash shield.

Just installed this recently and I’ll update after the next oil change. Torqued it to 18ft lbs as indicate, using the Sata electronic torque wrench you can get here on Amazon. No leaks after driving the car for more than half an hour and then checking the next day. Can’t wait to change the oil again to really tell how it is going to work but based on what others are saying it sounds great.

lf you change your own oil, as a home mechanic, or even as a pro, these are excellent. After installation, there's no need to remove the drain plug, replace the plug crush washer or potentially over or under tighten the plug. After completing that task, which is well within the skill set of any well trained member of the ape family, even humans, it need never again be removed and no tools are needed. Unlike some other ball valve-style oil drain plugs, this one protrudes at most only one or two MM past a normal oil drain plug and that's with the safety/dust cap installed. There's also no lever that can accidentally open the valve upon impact with road debris or driver caused stupidity. Some pro mechanics will complain that it slows the draining of the oil, but that's a small price to pay knowing your drain plug with never be over or under tightened by some underpaid butcher at some quickie oil change place.

Finally changed the oil on my car after the Stahlbus valve was installed for a year (I drive less than 2k miles a year). When I opened the cap, I noticed that there was a little oil that was leaking from the ball valve.I contacted info@stahlbus-us.com over 2 months ago, and never got a response. I purchased Valvomax Oil Drain system before with my previous vehicle and had no issues and the customer service was fast in responding when I questions about fitment before purchase. I don't think I can recommend this product based on the quality and lack of customer response.

Product is super easy to install don’t over torque the bolt to oil pan. It makes oil changes less messy. I would buy again.
