Best USB/MIDI Host Device on the market!!
Addendum: this DOREMIDI host device arrived after 3 working days, and it works PERFECTLY, exactly as advertised (and using either 5-Din MIDI cables OR wireless MIDI adaptors!). My M-Audio KeyRig 49 USB keyboard is very old but still works perfectly with my ipad. Importantly, IT WAS NOT RECOGNIZED AT ALL by the CME Inc.,. H2MIDI Pro HOST device despite their claim of full FUNCTIONALITY with ALL USB keyboards. I had purchased the H2MIDI Pro DEVICE from Amazon, firmware updated it, and had to return it after trying everything in the book to make it functional, without unsuccess! I had initially given the Doremidi host device a 3/5 rating because the seller had not responded after three days to my advance on-line query about its functionality with my M-Audio keyboard. However the seller apologized didvrespond and profusely apologized about the response delay (he had been sick). He assured me in writing that the Doremidi product would indeed work to connect my M-Audio USB keyboard to my YAMAHA Mu-80 5-din MIDI sound module….AND HE WAS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!My USB Keyboard can now play hundreds of voices instantly. It can even provide MIDI wirelessly to my ipad if desired by plugging a wireless MIDI OUT adaptor into the MIDI OUT port of the DOREMIDI Host advice….reducing stage clutter, or even removing the need to use my ipad on stage at all. This little device is all metal, has three modes, can be firmware updated if desired, comes with its own USB charging cord AND a USB A connection cable, and uses high speed MIDI 2.0 . This is the real deal folks!!

Solid performer.
I needed my M-Audio Keystation 49 to control a Behringer Pro-800, without using a PC. This works perfectly. Provides power to the K-49 and control to the Pro-800, as well as other chained MIDI instruments. Solidly built, as described.

This works with katana 100w gen3; allows FCB1010 (no boss fs needed).
For those who don't know: A midi usb host takes the place of your computer, so that some equipment (which expects software on a computer to tell it what to do) can now be controlled using standard, proper, midi controller.I have this mounted in the back of a katana 100w gen3 combo amp. It's connected to the amp's usb. Allows me to use a behringer fcb1010 to throw program and control changes to the katana. What this means is that i don't have to use my boss foot controller (two banks of 4 patches); i can call any of the 8 katana presets using a single bank, plus i can use control change (CC) to do things like turn effects on/off, adjust amount or volume, use the wah pedal. This is kindof a big deal imo. The katana is a limited amp but being able to use a proper controller (vs boss's proprietary footswitch) helps ALOT.

Great!
Works great! Could have a filter option maybe via a software update? Could help

Great product but needs a tweak
The USB to Midi converter is a great tool for using the lower priced usb only keyboards with other devices with standard midi interfaces. In my case I am using it to connect my Yamaha p125 piano to my Yamaha YC61 organ as a lower manual keyboard without needing to use my PC. The reason I did not give this thing four stars is because I had trouble plugging my midi cables into the midi ports on this device. The connector housings are too thick on good quality midi cables like you would by from a music store. I had to really push hard to force them in and they probably won't come out with the connectors of this device breaking off the board. The really cheap midi cables with thin connector housings will probably work better. I think the designer/manufacturer should look into a change for this issue.

Good utility
Convenient and easy to use. Construction seems durable. I like these a lot because they are small and cost effective, occasionally on sale. Power source is easy to replace also

This unit actually worked with Yamaha
I have bought several other brands and spent more yet this is the first hub to work. Worked with Both my Yamaha YPG 235 and DGX 670 to a 5 pin MIDI din Roland JV 1080 sound module. This has been a major frustration as USB midi came out. Thanks for a well made product

Kinda' Works but Product description is not specific enough
In the photos above, I was seeking a "back-up" USB interface for my Virtual Pipe Organ (Hauptwerk) system. It DIDN'T work!Is us a "USB Interface"? Yes!Does it work at all? Yes, but ONLY if the MIDI host is a KEYBOARD! And then, not All keyboards - My Casio recognizes it, and data throughput to a MIDI monitor, "MIDI OX" shows good clean data. However, it is not recognized by my M-AUDIO keyboard. Finally, neither my VPO computer, nor my digitized music computer (Mobile Sheets - I use MIDI for "page turns") - neither computer will recognize this USB Host Interface.Did I waste my money? Possibly, but it works like a champ to convert a USB MICRO output from my Casio keyboard to 5-pin MIDI din output, so I'll keep it for that. STILL, it doesn't replace my 10 year old original MIDI DIN to USB interface I purchased on eBay for $19. Sadly, they are now out of business!FWIW, I TRIED a "cable" type midi to usb converter - and it was ABSOLUTE GARBAGE! LATENCY and Garbage Data that came through, spontaneously!Again "MIDI OX" confirmed this!
