Excellent Economical DIY Fireplace Material
My fireplace is a prefab wood burning from the 1980's. The two sides were black metal, and back was bricked, and cracking. I chose the 3/4" brick for the back, and 1 1/4" for sides. They were so easy to cut to fit the sides. Fireplace now looks so much brighter and better. Highly recommend.

Lightwight and very effective
These bricks were installed on my grill to protect the enameled charcoal platform. They not only protect the enamel but also help radiate heat upward, making for a perfect combination. The picture was taken before they were used, with two Weber charcoal baskets on top of them. Recently, I installed galvanized profiles around each charcoal platform and placed firebricks all around. The bricks are easy to cut and not too heavy.

Very brittle
They are very brittle in comparison to the firebrick we have got in the past. Seem to hold the heat okay in the pieces that are usable.

Read the stats, don't trust the picture
Good quality firebrick, dense and arrived very well packaged with no cracks or other signs of damage (which can always be a concern when ordering something like this online.) However, I'm docking a star because the image they use for the listing is extremely misleading. As you'll notice from looking at the stats, the bricks are only .75" thick. That's fine for my purposes, but someone who didn't look closely at the listing might see the pic of what looks like six 2" thick bricks and choose this instead of a more expensive option and wind up with bricks that they can't use because they need something thicker. I've included a couple of photos so potential buyers can see what they're getting
