If I had to recommend a single book for any serious trader, it would be this.The book discusses many different aspects of trading that are often overlooked. Brent spends a lot of time discussing biases, self-awareness, risk management, psychological pitfalls, and so on. It doesn’t teach you how to trade (The Art of Currency Trading by Brent is slightly better in that domain), but how to become a better trader.Brent writes from experience and is humble enough to describe his own flaws and mistakes. He lays out the personality traits that make a good trader and outlines how to approach trading in a more calculated way.There are certain things that I don’t necessarily agree with him on, but this is what he encourages: being an independent thinker. Brent is one of the few voices in the trading space worth listening to, and for any retail trader looking to get beyond the marketing bs and take trading seriously, this is a great step in the right direction.

Quite simply the best book on trading. Ever. This is must read. Brilliantly written, easy to understand.

I was a buy side analyst for long time and recently became a portfolio manager - Brent’s book felt passionate, experienced and extremely practical because he’s done it all before. More and more I’ve found myself coming to grips with the psychology of investing rather than theory and models, and this book contains many nuggets of advice for how to control your fear (and greed) and some useful frameworks for trading/investing. Buy it and pack it with sticky notes because it’ll be a reference for a long time on your desk.

I bought Brent's latest book as I enter the industry and hope to build a long and successful career in it. I quickly found myself engrossed, thanks to Brent's intellect, wisdom and wit and to have such an accessible and comprehensive guide to being a successful trader, underpinned by Brent's many years of experience and network in the industry, is a true gift. Excellent book for experienced traders as so much valuable insights to go to next level. I wish this was available when I was starting my career in investment bank trading desk. This is a great reference book which would stay on my shelf for long time. This book should be combined with practical experience as some of the concepts will make sense after some experience. For the novice traders its a must read and re-read after 1 year of trading to get full value out.

Very enjoyable read that guides you on how to think. Whilst applicable to short term trading strategies it is equally useful for the long term investor. Perhaps more so as we have more opportunities to create and reinforce bad habits without the immediate feedback loops traders benefit from. Five stars!
