Do these socks last or do they easily get holes?

Love the socks, but sadly, yes they are very weak in the tie area & in the last 4 weeks I have lost three pairs through holes

Are they bamboo or cotton please? Thank you

They are a cotton mixture. It’s early days but I have washed them twice now at 30deg and there is no sign of shrinking. Bamboo socks I purchased last year became unwearable after 2-3 washes.
