Think and heavy
I used these blankets to treat my home studio walls for sound. I was impressed with their weight and thickness, and they are surprisingly soft. They work great to absorb some sound in my studio. If you are using them as moving blankets, then you will not be disappointed. The only thing I didn't like was the blue edges. They are functionally fine, but the blue color didn't match anything in my studio, so I simply took some black spray paint and sprayed all the edges black for a more even look. If you need a pack of moving blankets, I would recommend these.

No Smell, Heavy blankets
Despite the large number of 4+ star reviews, I hesitated to buy these base on the chemical smell many people talked about. My shipment arrived yesterday. The pads were bundled up compacted with plastic weave sheeting and tension straps. I did not weight them, but, I believe each each bundle was every bit of the 65lb/doz that was advertised. I cut the straps and opened them up expecting the smell, but it wasn't;t there. I hung them over the fence in the sun for half the day anyway then folded them for use. In addition, it did not experience any dye bleeding for the blankets either. I purchased these for one move followed by a year of storage so I won't be able to report on multiple extended uses. But, they look heavy enough to do my job. I'm glad I didn't buy the 35lb blankets.

Hung up on smells?
Why is everyone so hung up on smells these days? Air freshener also smells. Same as all the perfume binded products. I used mine to line my outdoor "smoking" gazebo. Used a grommet kit and some zip ties, works great here in Minnesota...with a small heater.

Best Quality-option and Cost-option (compared to renting blankets or buying professional blankets)
Helpful Tips for Prospective Buyers:I learned that the most important factor to look at when examining different options (when shopping online) for moving blankets is the Total Weight in the Item Description. Moving blankets are categorized in quality based on the (1) weight and (2) stitch quality. Since one cannot determine stitch quality when shopping online, the most important factor when evaluating moving blanks is total weight.—-I purchased these moving blankets, because it was cheaper to purchase these in 'sets' online than at any local 'brick and mortar' store. Chain hardware stores and moving companies charge much more for moving blankets. Renting the moving blankets (even just during the move) would have been even more much expensive than buying sets of these blankets. (We also knew that our belongings might be in storage for several months.)-—Based on the online reach that I did for moving blankets, online purchases of sets seems to be the most cost effective way to protect belongings during a move.----These blanks are one quality-step below those used by professional moving companies. (When shopping online, pay no attention to how sellers/manufacturers "categorize" moving blankets; words like "professional", "heavy grade", etc. are meaningless. I would suggest paying attention to the total weight--as this is the only info that is objectively valuable.) These blankets (and the blankets in this 'quality-category') are more than sufficient to protect furniture during a move; just don't expect these blankets to be the same quality as the heavier and thicker blankets used by professional moving companies.----You can keep these blankets after a move and reuse them perhaps a few more times, but that's about it. These are 'a-few-uses-and-done' blankets. These blankets also will not survive a wash cycle in a washing machine. Once they get dirty, you have to evaluate if the blankets can be reused again--if too dirty to be reused, then these will have to thrown away because these won't survive being cleaned.----Tip on How to Use: During packing, I took some precautions with both the blankets and what the blankets were protecting. Many people only wrap items in blankets and then tape the blankets; this can cause the blanket fabric to rip or stitched seams to come undone. Instead of using just a blanket and tape:(a) wrap an item in a blanket,(b) use large rubber bands (also available on Amazon) to hold the furniture blanket in-place, then(c) use moving/industrial saran-wrap (also available on Amazon)--to wrap and protect the blankets.Following this process also protects items in the event that the moving truck has a leak. (As it turned out, the moving truck we used had a leak in a seam that I was not able to see when I picked-up the truck prior to loading, and saran-wrapping our items saved thousands of dollars in damage to our furniture & appliances that would otherwise have been ruined from water damage.)Note: just because there aren't holes in top or sides of a moving truck, does not mean that the seams will not leak--and often one will not be able to observe the seams are leaking until the truck is being driven in the rain at highway speeds. The safe 'rule of thumb' is: wrap and protect your cargo by acting based on the assumption that the seams may leak.----These blankets did what we wanted them to do during our move--protect our furniture and some other belongings. And it was the most cost effective option (for blankets that weren't of the highest professional mover quality). Just be clear on your expectations if you purchase these blanks. If you expect anything more than a few uses (or hope that you can wash these in a washing machine and then resell these blanks), and you will be disappointed.Note: If you use tape directly onto these blankets, the thin fabric will likely either rip or stitching may come apart at the seams when the tape is removed.

Saved my self move!
We moved using containers and these were a great thing to have! Way cheaper to buy them vs. renting from any other venue - plus you can cut these with a utility knife. So for smaller table tops or padding really valuable stuff, I chopped a couple blankets into pieces.Moving is expensive & you might hesitate to spend money on items that really won't have any use after you're done, but it was a game changer to have these because even your cheap furniture will get expensive if you damage it during the move. I was too frazzled to try to donate or give them away but I could've, they held up well & someone else could've gotten the benefit of them. Good luck, fellow movers - buy these blankets!!

Exactly like the photos and description
There must be a lot of bogus attack reviews from the various moving blanket competitors on Amazon. First of all, I believe all the moving blankets are coming from the same factory in China--notice how they all have the same zig-zag pattern? Second, there is only the slightest odor. I threw my blankets one at a time in the dryer for 20 minutes to air them a bit faster, and that pretty much took care of that. Third, there isn't any more loose material falling off the blankets than there would be from new pair of jeans. Fourth, the stitching is very good, and I don't expect any issues whatsoever. And finally, these are thick, heavy-duty, and have uniform filling--I see no spots that might show light through on any of the blankets. Conclusion: These will provide very fine protection for your moving items, and in my case, I believe I will receive excellent sound damping. I'm very glad I chose this 65#/dz weight on a bang-for-buck basis. Buy with confidence!
