1,000 HR Certification Practice Questions With Explanations: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP: Test Prep. Exam Prep. Practice Test.

I am studying for my SHRM SCP and I wanted some extra study questions. THIS ROCKS. It's in line with other study materials and has great explanations. Testing tips and the included blog are GREAT. I am THRILLED.

Working through these exam questions undoubtedly helped me pass the exam. I also worked through her 500 practice questions book, too.

My primary method of prepping for the PHR exam was using the tools from BenchPrep, however, one of the suggestions they made was to take as many sample tests as you could find. Once I had depleted the BenchPrep and HRCI practice tests and all the free ones I found online, I decided to purchase this book as well. I was not looking for an exam prep tool -- just additional questions to practice with. This book definitely does that.The book distinctly feels self published. There are inconsistent spellings (organization vs. organisation), typos, and occasionally poor grammar. There are lines where the font is a lighter color (like the author may have changed the text to be red, and didn't change it back to black before printing). There is inconsistent spacing and formatting for the questions. It just really gives the impression that the product could have had a much more professional presentation had there been an editor involved.For the most part, this is cosmetic stuff. It is the kind of thing that would make me discontinue a book that I was reading for pleasure, but for this type of thing, I could push through it. I would note, however, that there is at least one question where the correct answer (per the answer key) isn't even one of the multiple choice options provided. (Question # 63.) This is the only problem that I found with the content, but there may have been other issues that I missed because the answer I selected matched the key, so I didn't study the explanation.As many as half of the questions in this book seemed to be the same ones that I had seen from sample tests elsewhere. A lot of them were straight from the HRCI practice tests (which uses actual retired questions). There were still enough new questions to make me feel ok about the money I spent on this book, but you may feel differently.

Relevant questions with detailed explanations. This is an excellent tool for the SCP test prep. Couldn't ask for a better tool for self-study. SCP test prep materials seem to be limited in the market so to find this was a miracle! I suggest adding this book to your arsenal of study prep tools.************Update: I passed the SHRM-SCP in part due to this book. I used a number of study tools including the Learning System but after completing all the SHRM practice tests and memorizing many of them, I needed more questions. This book helped me not only get relevant practice test questions along with the corresponding answer ratonale, but there were so many questions that I was able to further apply test taking strategies to land on the best possible answer. I highly recommend this book.

This is a great way to review the material and get practice on the questions for the exam.Worth the purchase!

I use this book to study for my SHRM SCP. I took no other courses. Granted, I had 30 years experience as a store manager but after only two weeks of studying with this book I was able to pass the test. I just went through the questions, answered them honestly and then made flashcards for everything I could not answer or the ones I knew I had guessed correctly on. I purchased about 15 other books and did not use any of them.

A friend recommended this book after she passed her SPHR. I bought it to study for my SHRM-CP and passed. I strongly recommend this book.

It worked for me. I studied this book cover to cover for 4 weeks. Passed the SHRM-CP exam on 8/10/17.
