I just use this for talking with others while off roading. Don’t know about how far it will get out, but I have other radios for that. Works great and is compact, easy to use and reliable.

Awesome little CB works great

The unit works great. Controls are smooth and easy to use. The transmission distance is the problem. I have an inexpensive, magnetic mount antenna. I have less than 100 yards of transmission power. On another vehicle, I have a 2 foot fiberglass antenna. This one has a little more transmission distance but not much. Maybe with a 4 foot antenna it would do better. I would like to have a few miles of power. This will require a much more powerful radio. If you are using this in a fixed environment, this is a great radio. If you are moving, I wouldn't buy this one.

I have long used Cobra brand CB radios (15 + years, after switching from Midland). I was looking for a small radio for in my vehicle. This is one of smallest CB radios I have seen -- possible smaller than my Uniden hand-held. It may be small, but it delivers big. It is replacing an old Cobra WX75, and blows the doors off of the old one. I use a full size Cobra 29 Classic in my RV, and this seems to match it. One feature I am not sure on is the squelch control. To change the setting you have to go through the control button and then set it -- not the easiest to do while driving. However, it does have auto-squelch which works well for me so far.

It worked well right out of the box.The speaker was better than expecting.Of course, anyone who knows anything about CB radios, knows that the antenna system is key to satisfaction. I am using a good quality Mag mount CB antenna.

I just got around to installing this CB radio yesterday and went to go use it and it doesn't work. I hope the seller reads this and sends me an exchange.

Cobra 19 MINI AM/FM Recreational CB Radio-- PROS --1) Size: This size is what I was looking for. Amazingly small so that it can be easily stowed in a vehicle until needed or even carried in luggage when traveling by air and renting vehicles.2) Power Connection: Power connection to the cigarette lighter power port is a snap thanks to the included power adapter that is ready to plug the radio into the cigarette lighter power port without any modifications needing to be made. This radio can be up and running within minutes.3) Phone Support: Phone support was very good and the tech agreed that I should return the unit for either a refund or replacement. More on this below.4) Mic: The ability to change channels from the mic is very handy.-- CONS --1) The squelch did not work. No difference could be heard between the squelch being on or off.2) The FM did not work. There was no difference between the FM and AM with respect to static.I called the support number included in the documentation (thank you). Support answered right away (thank you). I allowed the tech to listen to both the squelch issue and the FM issue. He agreed that neither was working and advised that I should return the unit to Amazon for a refund or replacement.Suggestions to Cobra:1) Reposition the speaker to the top of the unit. Some people (me) will not want to mount this permanently but instead will want to mount it temporarily on the dash when needed. My primary purpose for this radio is to find out what the traffic conditions are during interstate and metro traffic jams to determine if I should get off on the next exit.
