Excellent Accent Lighting
I used this on the *outside* of my case, despite the design clearly being intended for internal use.It looks absolutely amazing, and is very bright. It fills the corner that my PC sits in very nicely. I've attached a picture, all of the lighting behind the PC tower is from the LC100 starter kit - a beautifully bright addition that really light up a previously dark area.I have light towers behind my monitors, two mousepads (XXL and XXXL)m keyboard, mouse, headphones, headphone stand, H100i, and four ML fans in the case - it makes a gorgeous, well combined light set. The Corsair software even has an addon to control the light on my Asus 4070 so they match! An entire "lighting environment" is an amazingly nice feature I have fallen in love with thanks to Corsair. For the "USB Header" connection that the hub comes with, you can use a normal USB cable with the same connector (I *think* its a USB Mini-B connector, I may be wrong) and plug it into a USB port instead of using a header on the mobo. Its a bit of an older connector, I found a cable that worked that was for an old SD card reader, and I know I had an old digital camera with the same connection.

This is a flawed product this is why they Dropped the price from A $130 at launch, to $30 now!
Seriously I would give zero stars what's crazy is I saw this product when it first launched and I thought wow that looks so awesome but the price tag was a $130 Dollars for one pack of 9 so I said to myself yeah that's a bit pricey and of course Corsair does that they charge top dollar for their stuff, BUT! Fast forward about a year and I came across this same product again now they drop the price $90!!!! And part of me went wow maybe they're just not selling enough of them oh how naive I was to think that my stupid lizard brain Didn't want to realize the fact that they would never do that the reason they dropped the price so drastically is because they know the product is flawed and almost guaranteed to break Anyway I bought two kits because they were a lot cheaper they worked great at first fast forward 7 months and they completely stopped working no matter what I did whatever I Actually RMA'ed them And they had no problem sending me to new packs so sure fine only it only took three months for those ones to break and stop working completely what's weird is I put them out of my system for three months and then put them back in and they turned on again honestly there's memory on board in these things so it could be a flaw with the firmware that they're not able to fix for whatever reason but don't buy these even at their low price the only reason they lowered the price is because they know this most likely people won't rma them or return them if it's cheaper they're just Trying to cut their losses and make back a little bit on probably the Research and development of the product and what not instead of Justice pulling it from the shelves which they should do so shame on you corsair cause I know they know that this product is almost guaranteed to fail yet they still sell it at a way way lower price than they first set out to get yeah usually products that start at $130 don't drop $90 in one year unless there's something severely wrong with the product which there is it's a shame because they look nice but who cares if they stop working right you're better off just buying BTF lighting strips or matrixes and actually getting a good product for your money and just doing it custom that's what I did and I'm glad I did those products lasting for years really they should refund everybody for these and pull them from the shelves

Cool Product, needs improvements
Fun product, but it was really hard to position in my case and keep it from moving. With some improvements this could have been a great product, instead it's just ok. The built in magnets aren't very strong and even the small attached cables easily over power them. This product should have really come with adhesive magnets for you to attach as needed, as well as some pin covers for the exposed ends. If those exposed pins touch the metal of your case it will short circuit and not light up. There are also two sizes of magnet hinges that come with this. The larger size allows for a greater range of motion and has stronger magnets. The weaker smaller ones aren't nearly as useful and I wish it only came with the larger size. With all that said, I eventually got them positioned in my case, and they look great. I just wish I didn't have to settle for the only position that they wouldn't easily fall off.

Really good addition to internal rgb and corsair themes
I have become kind of addicted to corsair rgb due to quality and ability to synchronize all rgb devices into one program. I have a corsair 4000x rgb case with all rgb components in the sytem from corsair. The power supply shield area on the motherboard side of the case was looking a bit empty so I decided to buy these lights. They make a really good complimentary addition to go with the rgb light strips bordering that side of the case. Brightness is good and can be set up easily in icue. The product feels well made and was easy to put together and customize. My only real complaint about this product is with the triangle that has the power cord and connector to the corsair controller. It would have been nice if at least part of the length of the two were somewhat connected to assist with cable management. Also quick tip: If you have corsair cases and are thinking about putting these vertical on the motherboard side panel in front of the case. Make sure you measure that area to see if these will fit. They seem to be too big for that area on my corsair 4000x rgb case.

Looks great!
This kit is a great addition for that extra bit of lighting. It works flawless with iCue. I did have to play with the settings a bit. Not all themes work with the lights. Make sure you have an open USB port. I used an open port on my iCue Commander Pro. Also make sure you have two open SATA connectors for power. My only gripe was the lack of printed instructions. All in all, I'm happy with the look.
