Why does it say not for under 2 but then shows it being used on an infant's foot? Is it accurate on an infant or not?

Would NOT recommend using it on an infant for unattended monitoring because of it's small size and it can slide off fairly easily. However, it should still be 'fairly' accurate when used for a quick reading, then removed. The device needs a finger/toe that has sufficient blood flow to get a reading: infants' digits may not have enough 'mass' yet to give consistent, accurate readings.
