The product is sturdy and well-constructed. Haven’t been able to use it yet since our boat is in the shop, but I bought it to dehook live bait from a sabiki rig. It fits well in the hand, isn’t too heavy or unweidly, and should work well (although it may be a little large for shad or pinfish). Only feature I would add is a hole in the handle to attach a lanyard, but I can drill one easily enough.

Works great. It is a little bigger than you envision, but we do a lot of saltwater fishing. On #2 and bigger size hooks, it seems to work great.

Works great but is larger and not great for hooks smaller than a 1. Nice handle was able.to unhook and beat salmon to death over and over all summer long. Alaskan Guide Approved

One day shippping but failed to catch any fish to use it on the day it came in. Quality handle that floats so it won't be lost like the last one. Would be four stars if i had some fish to try it out on.

Made it a breeze to dehook fish especially small sharks
