I bought this to scan ISBN barcodes of books. I thought it was cool how it came with a book of codes that you scanned to make the scanner do different things. You can customize it to always stay on, to only come on when you scan something, or to manually turn it on and off yourself. You can customize which types of codes you'll be scanning, as well. It can even scan QR codes.I'm not the most spatially inclined person so it took a lot of brainpower to figure how to get the thing into the stand, but I finally figured it out.Overall, I really like this scanner.

It reads most barcodes including GS1 2D barcodes. There are some 2D databar codes that it cannot read.The most annoying thing that it does is that it changes the input method every time a barcode is scanned which must then be re-entered manually. This is a problem because this also changes the character encoding which causes the input of bad data.

The media could not be loaded. I bought 3 scanner in march 2024. This is June 2024, One of them is already stopped working.Changing my review from 1 star to 5 star - after submitted 1st review , company send me a message, after review my conversation, they send me the replacement scanner. Appreciate the service.

I tried another scanner for my book sales setup. After not being able to get it to talk to my computer, I purchased this one. This is "plug and play" ready. I only changed one setting so that it only comes on when i place a bar code underneath it instead of having it on continuously. It sits perfectly on its stand and works perfectly.

When we first purchased was working fine but within 2 weeks it began to become glitchy, where it would not read the entire bar code and the more time went on, the scanner became less and less reliable and continued to take more and more attempts to scan before it would finally scan an entire code and now it won't scan a full code at all. Do NOT purchase this item

The barcode scanner works as soon as you connect it to the computer with out the need for any software drivers. It is truly plug and play! It is easy to use and works on my Windows PC as well as on my Linux PC. The 1st one I purchased worked so well that I bought a second one. The scanner works perfectly with our Time Clock software.

Purchased an additional two scanners for our Scouting organization.Scanners worked as expected and satisfied our need to be able to quickly enter data into tracking software.Reasonably priced units that do the job.

Received scanner with manual, the manual allows you to make changes to the scanner. The seller also emailed me the manual in PDF format, so if I lose the manual, I can print my own.I have used it for several days, using it to do hardware inventory and I print my own descriptions and with a quick scan of the description then the piece of equipment I'm done. Use the CR after each scan for the software but there are other options. I have scan a bunch of different stuff and have had zero issues.
