Ideal for modelling scenery

These were just the right size [with the use of a wood saw] for filling the gaps between two cardboard boxes - a large one and a middle-sized one placed inside it. Onto the floor of the inner box goes a panel pet bed heater [preferaby large enough to cover the entire floor] and on top of that goes a nice soft area of bedding fabric. A small nick in the polystyrene will allow the panel electrical cable to emanate from the base of the concentric 2-box structure. After closing the top of each box, polystyrene sheets can be sawn to size to iie in the gap above the smaller box and just underneath the outer box - which can now be closed too. If waterproofing or damp-avoidance is necessary, a polythene surround to the whole assembly can be applied - but great care must be taken to avoid any possibility of suffocation to any indwelling animals! Vent-slots should be formed high up on the room-walls and an entrance door, high up enough to avoid draughts, can be covered with several layers of multi-sliced bubble polythene to allow for air circulation while preserving as much interior warmth as possible.

Great bit a kit - more than I really wanted - but I will put the rest to good use. Arrived early - well done. And it was so cheap - if I went to my local shop it would cost double the amount.

I ordered these sheets on the 13 aug. and was told the estimated delivery date was the 19th till 22nd Aug , on the 22nd I got an email saying this product was out of stock and would not be available to the 28th aug. It also asked, did I want to wait after this possible delivery date for my sheets or did I want to cancel the order and have a refund. 2 things spring to mind. 1, Why did they mark this item as being dispatched without checking their stock level's. 2, Why did they take Money out of my account.3, Why wait for 9 days to tell me they could NOT fill the order.I of course cancelled the order and complained to Amazon about this firms antics.So buyer beware.

What can I say about polystyrene sheets - not dense foam but expanded polystyrene (like lots of little white balls stuck together) - the sheets were just what I wanted and all as described - at a good price

Excellent product - bought to make padded packing panels for camera equipment in an attache case. Much cheaper DIY alternative to buying a purpose-made camera case.

5 x ... x 25mm MEANS that EACH of the sheets are 25mm thick. They are not. When they are all together, they are 25mm in TOTAL thickness, as each one is (wait for it...) 5mm thick. Not what I ordered, but they will be useful... somewhere on my railway set.

This is good value, but the picture misled me - I was expecting more foam-like material and was trying to line a packing case with foam; this was just basic polystyrene and I was after a much more different material.Please beware of the description it is basic POLYSTYRENE sheets.
