PrismacolorNeon Colored Pencils Set, 6 count, Junior 4.0mm

Perfect Neon Set!Beautiful, bright neon colors—just what my neon-loving kid wanted! The colors are super saturated, vibrant, easy to blend, and go on so smoothly with no dust at all. I also really appreciate that it comes in a small pack. My child often needs to replace just one or two neon shades, and I didn’t want to keep buying full sets of 24 or 36. This set is perfect!

I thought the price was a little ridiculous for kid colored pencils, but I hoped that they were basically created with the same or similar formula as the regular Prismacolor colored pencils. They didn’t disappoint. They are slightly harder and more durable than the regular Prismacolor line of colored pencils (since they’re for kids), but they have the same smooth buttery thick layout down and almost the same blendability, it’s very comparable to the regular Prismacolor pencils. The colors are very vibrant and very neon, as neon as neon gets. My big thing was the lay down and blendability because most neon colors are very light and very spotty with uneven lay down. These things were worth the cost. I’ll probably buy some more. Good neons are hard to come by. My ONLY complaint is that this set doesn’t come with a neon purple to finish the rainbow of color, but otherwise this set is actually perfect. I like to do portraits and landscapes using bizarre colors, and my favorites are neons so I often use neons. These things met my expectations and will be used on a variety of art pieces, I’m happy with them. I included this photo so you could see how bright, vibrant, and smooth they are. They’re really actually quite good.

They go down feeling quite creamy, and lay down color smoother(meaning the visual result of pigment on paper)than the neons in the premiere set, but aren't as pigmented as said pencils . So they're pretty good, but I don't think they're quite worth the price of 18 dollars that I paid. Though I've kept them. So that says something. (?)

I've had trouble finding neon color pencils that had vivid enough color, these definitely do! Plus great quality.

My review is a little unfair considering I ordered these even though they say junior. If you are a serious artist, these aren't it. I know it says Prismacolor but they junior part makes them a lower quality pencil. You get what you pay for. They will be going to my son.

I can't sing the praises of these loud enough to do them justice. They perform well on many different types of paper. Bright white, cream, black cardboard and kraft are just what I had around me.
