Why did you choose this product over others?:Fantastic product at great price. I used 2 coats on a large door frame made of bare wood. It covered any knots and imperfections well. An absolute must when preparing and painting indoor new wood.
This product was recommended to use as some newly fitted woodwork in the bathroom showed knots under the undercoat - despite undercoating again they still showed through. Used this paint on the knots and then painted again - this time no knots visible and the paintwork looks great.

Does the job
A little strong on the odour but covers well and after applying the top coats to a painted pine wood floor there has been no evidence of any resin stains so far. Seals the wood OK but does need the two coats recommended. A little thin tbh, but does the job.

needed 3 coats but will dry fast.
It was easy to apply but I had to use 3 coats of this to cover a dark wooden fireplace. It does dry quickly though so don't have to wait too long between coats.

Works well
Used this on bare dado rail and panelling mouldings. 3 months down the line and no evidence of knots showing through so would recommend and buy again. Point to note though, paint before caulking as it reacted with the caulk I used and the surface of the paint crazed when in contact with the caulk. I used Everbuild everflex 125 caulk which is good stuff, so don't know if other caulks would have the same issue.
