True guitar from fender but....
Didn't come set up, didn't even have a ground cable inside.. I needed to take this to the luthier. Such a bummer

Awesome guitar! Love that tele sound.
I’m very happy with my new telecaster. Plays great looks amazing. I’ve been super inspired and writing many new songs since buying. I’m glad I bought it! There’s nothing wrong with this one at all. I’m getting a player Strat next!

I really like it, but....
Upon opening (the previously opened box), the contents seemed to be untouched, but there was heavy damage to the lower bass side of the guitar, right where your arm would be in contact with the guitar while playing. I decided to have a replacement sent. But clicking on the return tab, replacement was not offered, just a return. So I returned it. I thought about ordering it again, but the hassle isn't worth it.

Where's the QC?
I'll keep it simple. This guitar sounds great, and the electronics, knobs and switches work great. The satin neck is nice and smooth and feels good in the hand. However, the frets were terrible. Up and down on both sides of the neck, there were uneven frets. If you look at the pictures, they weren't crowned either. You can still see the tooling marks from when a fret level was attempted but it didn't work. Also, the pickup selector tip is missing, and there was still buffing compound on parts of the neck, along with finish overspray onto the nut and frets like a candy coating.Sure, a fret level and crowning can be done at home, but should it be required for a $1k+ guitar? And the serial number dates this guitar to this year, so the iffy QC can't even really be attributed to the pandemic. Fender did layoff some workers not too long ago though...I do like the rolled edges and appreciate the smooth fret ends. But in the end, docking two stars for the frets/lack of switch tip and sending this one back.
